This mask balm nourishes every fibre of my hair, making it soft and shiny and lightweight ,smells incredible too. My hair is prone to dryness and this mask really helps in locking the Moisture in and making my hair look healthy. You don't have to leave it on for long, just 3 minutes, which is a blessing for those of us with limited time to pamper ourselves. This for me is a winner .It hydrates and nourishes my hair . Lately my hair has been very dry so this really helps smooth it out and give it a healthy look. The price is not so bad when they have sales . Firstly the cover is really cute and I noticed the container being filled to the brim which is never the case with hair masks ( half empty and expensive) but not this one. It also smells really nice. I'm not usually a fan of the coconut type scent but it was cancelled out with the great smelling shampoo and conditioner. I used about a R5 size since my hair is not that long and it really spread out evenly without clumping. Also the moment you apply it your hair feels amazingly soft and it's a great detangler. when I rinse it off my hair felt soft and strong and literally looked shinier! Visually my hair looks amazing and I love how healthy and shiny and thick it feels without the weigh down. I did find my hair going oily after two days which is fine since I wash my hair every two days. But for those that hold out abit longer be aware that when using the entire range with the mask your hair will become oily within days depending on your hair type ect. As much as my super dry hair cries out for TLC, masks are mostly just far too rich for me, I was intrigued by this product, described as a 'masque balm,' and imagined it as lighter in texture than the masks that had disappointed me. It was slightly less dense then many other masks, so I took the plunge and worked two almond-sizes amounts through my hair. That's quite a lot of product, but I decided to go all in on the first try. The jar recommends that you leave the product in your hair for a mere 2-3 minutes, compared to some masks that you have to leave in for a whole TWENTY minutes. For once, I followed instructions and it really paid off. My hair was left feeling softer and stronger, but without being weighed down my product build-up. It seemed to handle heat-styling SO much better, as well. As with the other products in the Extraordinary Oil range, the product's fragrance is deliciously spicy and subtly sweet. L'Oreal, you have produced a fan for life.
