John Frieda® Sheer Blonde® Highlight Activating Shampoo

My hair is super soft and supple, and is slowly lightening which is an awesome bonus. I've been using the highlight activating shampoo and conditioner for a month now and am very happy.

I do find that, in addition to the conditioner, I do often still need to use additional treatment as my hair can feel a little too dry for my liking. I've found John Frieda's Sheer Blonde Conditioning Treatment (http://www.beautybulletin.com/hair/treatments-masks/john-frieda-blonde-hair-repair-conditioning-treatment) an excellent addition to my weekly hair-care regimen and compliments this shampoo well.

As far as shampoo goes, it is a little on the expensive side, but the lightning effects are well worth it!

I have recently tried this shampoo and conditioner and it was GREAT! I then battled to find this again, and after reading some reviews I saw that this can be purchased at Clicks :-) I am now so excited to check out all the other products John Frieda has, as it seems endless. Thank you reviewers for helping me find this product again.

This shampoo delivers all its promises with a bang! Soft, smooth, manageable hair which just shines!!! I look like i just came out the salon! Even though its a pricey product, its important to look after your hair correctly. I love this product ad so does my hair. Results from wash 1!!!!

I have bleach blond hair and it tends to go a bit dull and dry - this product definitely puts the shine back in my hair and highlights the color as if I've just had it done ! makes it soft and smell great

After years and years of highlights and bleach, you can imagine what the ends of my hair were like. Every time I washed my hair, it felt like the lengths and ends were being turned into straw. Which meant I piled on the conditioner. Which made my hair greasier quicker. Which meant I washed it more. Cue endless cycle of bad hair days! So I was excited to review this shampoo and conditioner pair from John Frieda, a brand that I'd often seen at Clicks but never tried for myself.
The first thing I of course noticed was the pleasant (but not overpowering) scent. After shampooing my hair, I was delighted to discover that my hair didn't feel stripped at all - just clean and healthy. A small dollop of conditioner to the much-abused ends resulted in smooth, bright and shiny blonde hair.
I won't be repurchasing these products in the near future BUT that is only because, after my last haircut, my ombre has gone away and I am back to my natural brunette. If you have highlighted hair that is in need of some TLC, it's worth giving this shampoo and conditioner from John Frieda a try (they're available from Clicks for around R100 each, but keep an eye out for special deals!). I have already recommended these two products to a friend with highlighted hair, and will be giving the brunette version a go for myself soon.

I have been using this shampoo and conditioner for about a month now. Both have a lovely fresh smell.

The shampoo lathers very well and a little goes a long way. It rinses out easily and even before applying the conditioner my hair does not feel dry and stripped.
The conditioner is a fairly thin consistency and spreads very easily. Like the shampoo it rinses out easily and my hair feels very smooth and hydrated.

I can't honestly say that I have noticed a big difference in colour or shine of my hair, but I have also been wearing my hair curly more often (thanks to my John Frieda Frizz-Ease Serum) so that may be why I have not really noticed.

I will still continue to use this shampoo and conditioner as I love the way it smells and am very happy with the way my hair feels when using them.

I excitedly collected my John Frieda parcel on 26 August, got my daughter to take before pics and then washed my hair. The shampoo lathered very well, so I didn't have to use a lot. It has a pleasant smell and my hair had that great 'squeaky' clean feeling. The conditioner smelt wonderful and it left my hair feeling soft and nourished. I also got the hair masque, which also had a wonderful fragrance. I would wash & condition my hair every second day and use the masque over the weekend. The first masque trial I stuck to the instructions on the label and kept it in for 15min. My hair felt lovely and soft and very manageable. Over the weeks I left the masque in for a whole day and the next time, while I slept and washed it out the next day. My hair felt silky soft and was far less frizzy. I have to confess I'm a no fuss person, besides not having any time to sit and blow dry or use a straightner on my hair I normally bend upside down, run my fingers through my hair and a roller brush, to try and give it that blow dried look. I know all of you are now shouting at me saying...no wonder your hair is frizzy! and I'm sure you are all right. So to ensure I got an accurate reading while using this product I mostly let my hair air dry with the occasional manic blow dry. I have been using these products for a month, I still have a substantial amount of shampoo left, but sadly my conditioner and the masque are finished. Friends who do not know I'm doing this review have commented that my hair looks very healthy and I'm very pleased with the results..it does exactly what it says on the bottle...it eases my frizz!

My hair is definitely lighter, the yellow shade has turned to it's "Just walked out of a salon" lighter, whiter highlight color. My hair is soft, manageable and feels fantastic! I have only used it about 3 times now, can't wait for the end result! :)

Being not the most natural of blonde’s, who is mortified by dark roots and reliant on the powers of her GHD, my hair was in need of something powerful. I have tried and tested most of the other men on the shelf…from Marc Anthony to Trevor Sorbie, so decided to give John Frieda a chance to prove himself.

Washday 1: I believe you can’t really judge hair products the first time you use them, your hair is just so grateful for a change from what you’ve been using for the past year that immediately there is a difference…but from first impressions, the shampoo smells good – which is important to us girls. Secondly, I could instantly feel the shampoo is very gentle on my hair and a little goes a long way. The masque is absolutely awesome, and my hair certainly felt softer and smoother for a couple of days.

Washday 2: The shampoo and conditioner claim to brighten your highlights, not quite what you want when your roots are starting to show & you cannot get an appointment with your hairdresser…but yes, they are true to their word there! However if you are looking for an intensively moisturising conditioner, the conditioner is not quite as fabulous as the masque.

Washday 3: After a week of use I am now convinced that these products are truly great and I definitely look forward to trying the rest of the range…

I’ve been using the Full Repair Perfect Ends Deep Infusion for over a year now, it is a product I will not go without! It’s brilliant for knotty hair, makes your hair super smooth and shiny, and definitely transforms your hair when you need it.

Now all I need is a shampoo that instantly lightens your roots… ;)

I have naturally dry (curly) hair, and highlighting my hair often does not really help. I sometimes struggle to find a shampoo that leaves my hair feeling moisturised without weighing down my curls. This shampoo does exactly that. After use, my hair feels clean and soft and my highlights look beautifully golden. I like the scent of this shampoo and love the fact that it isn't very strong. I use a lot of products on my hair (it takes a lot to get my fine curls to behave!) and I hate using strongly scented products as they can clash and be a bit overwhelming. This product gets two thumbs up from me - great packaging, good scent, awesome formula and great results.

I've been a blonde for approximately 3 months now. It has been one of the toughest tasks yet to maintain my blonde hair and to keep it healthy and shining.
In the three months, I've literally tried every trick of the trade to keep blonde dyed hair healthy. Some of these tricks have worked well and others just failed.
The John Frieda products that were sent to me could not have come at a more perfect time.

I was, firstly, blown away by the fact that the shampoo & conditioner duo was specially formulated for dark blonde hair (which fits my specifications) and one can also buy it in light blonde and even brunette.

Secondly,The smell of it is simply refreshing and reassures you that you're naturally curing your hair. The shampoo & conditioner are made of Jojoba Oil, Honey and Oatmeal. I've always heard only good things about applying Honey to the hair. It is known to smooth the hair and add extra shine as well as to lighten blonde hair and give it the right tints of gold.

Thirdly, once I applied it to my hair, the shampoo created a good lather with just a tiny amount and rinsed easily out of the hair. The conditioner was so soft and made my hair feel like silk. I think this is due to the fact that it was a special moisturizing conditioner.

Once I had dried my hair and examined the results closely after a few washes, I noticed my blonde color slowly settling in. When I dyed my hair blonde, I opted for highlights and not a full head of dye but this combo of hair products made my whole head of hair blended and different shades of dark blonde.
I also noticed my hair had become less dry and damaged. It was now easy to manage and never lost its shine days after I washed it.

Like I mentioned before and as can be seen in the magnificent results, this is my savior to my blonde hair. With this in mind and the fact that I've been using it for two weeks now, I, in all honesty, find no fault with the products. They work so well with the type of hair I have and it highlights my color and moisturizes my locks at the same time. I don't think I'll be changing hair products for a while now and will recommend all blondes out there to try this product, it is definitely worth the investment and the tubes are big and full and will last long.
