Well firstly I had my hair done by Tosca Hair Salon at Palmyra Junction in Claremont, Cape Town.
They firstly washed my hair and gave me a head massage and oh my word was that now "AMAZING"!!
My hair was done by Kelli who is a very funky hairdresser and gave me loads of info on this new GHD thats been launched,
she explained what we were going to do and then we were set to go!
She used all the GHD products on my hair which smells DIVINE!! then blow dried my hair and then we were off to the actual straightening with this new gadget! I went for straight as I prefer that to flicks, but kelli explained that this little tool can do all, curls, flicks, straight etc... that that you can dream of it'll do LOL
Now let me tell you some technical stuff about this new straightener:
The new GHD Eclipse is the latest of its kind and technology wise for sure! I personally believe it is their BEST make and discovery YET!
What makes this GHD unique is the fact that it has the following features:
- Aerogel insulation to the shell, so the outside of the straightener
does not get hot like all others do! Its cool to the touch even after
45 minutes of use, So NO MORE burning of foreheads and fingers
ladies!! Whoop whoop... :)
- It has 6 sensors in it which allows the temperature to remain the same all the time (this they call thermal control)
at an optimal 185 degrees C which is the recommended temperature for perfect straighteningand wont damage your hair!
Anything above that temperature is burning the HAIR LADIES!! YES, its true
and its also damage that is irreversible they say.. EINA!! :(
-It tames the toughest of textures of hair which is awesome! From rebellious to curly to afro hair!
The GHD eclipse will tame it down :)
- It has an automatic switch OFF when its been on for too long!! This is my
personal favourite!! Have you ever run out the house, late for work and get
to your desk and realise "OOPS!! I think I left my straightener on?" WELL now
you needn't be worried anymore...it will switch itself off after a while.
- It has something built in the plates (don't ask me what?)which locks the hairs natural moisture into the
hair shaft and therefore creates extreme shine on the hair... THIS IS SO TRUE!! I haven't
had my hair shine like that EVER I don't think. I have extremely dry hair so THIS
was truly a GREAT feauture for me :) You will see on my photos of the type of
shine I am talking about... TALK ABOUT BLING HAIR LADIES... and the feel is just
absolutely amazing, so soft and silky!!
Well need i say more? Go and get yourself one TODAY! It really is worth it!
