Part of The Body Shop's Smoky Poppy collection, this fragrance is inspired by the poppy flower: intoxicating, beautiful and dangerous. It contains poppy extract from Ankara, Turkey. The fragrance is a seductive blend of spices, earthy-woody tones and floral notes.

The first thing everybody will say when they smell this fragrance or any item from the Smoky Poppy range is - "this is not for everybody", it is quite a strong fragrance, which fortunately stole my heart as I purchased most of this range, from the fragrance, body butter, body oil plus the universal lip and cheek tint.
I can't get enough of this scent, it is a very musky scent which is strong and lingers on skin for hours, probably one of the longest lasting fragrances which I've tried. I guess the bottle describes the fragrance the best, because of the black bottle, it gives definition to the dark and mysterious scent of smoky poppy.
The fragrance retails for R150 at all Body Shop stores, if you're thinking of purchasing this fragrance, I'd recommend you try it in store first before purchasing, however if a mysterious and woody scent is you're thing, then you'd really love this fragrance.

I just bought this range from the body shop.it cost R150 for the edt;R150 for the body butter and R130 for the massage oil.
In cool weather this heady musky spicy sandlewoody type fragrance(im not sure what the exact notes are) seems to envelop me and smells deeply warm n comforting as its very long lasting and warms into the skin.
When i wear it on a hot day the scent is too overpowering n overwhelming which is weird as i really like it.
I feel its well worth the purchase but not for everyone

This scent is not for everyone - it has a heady, unexpectedly powdery smell. It definitely lasts long, but it's not as spicy and sensual as I expected. I'm keen to try out the other products in the Spicy Poppy range though. Perhaps the scent works better in a scrub or body butter.
