Chanel Allure

Like all Chanel perfumes, Allure has a rich and complex composition. Fresh and citrusy at the beginning, it opens in lavishing floral heart to wooden and vanilla nuances and leaves lingering and fickle scent. It is best to describe it by the various accords it possesses: Fresh: lemon and bergamot Fruity: mandarin and peach Classical floral: the rose of May, jasmine, water lily, peony, magnolia, orange blossom Woody: sandalwood and vetiver Oriental: vanilla The perfume was created by Jacques Polge in 1996. Chanel's slogan: "Clean and Sheer. Warm and Sexy. Difficult to Define. Impossible to resist"

Chanel Allure is one of my absolute favourites. It is a warm, sensual fragrance that lasts well without being too overpowering. It is a good day-time fragrance or it can be layered with its matching body lotion or powder for an evening out. Chanel Allure has no boundaries with age, but may be a bit sweet for some. Like all the Chanel fragrances, it does not come cheap but it is worth the investment.

This was my mother's signature fragrance, and because we often shared stuff, it was no wonder that her smell would be on my scarves and jerseys. I had really taken to the smell and now love it. It's a warm frgrance and perfect for everyday. Abit matured..so i doubt any teenager would appreciate it. i think this is where my love for 'mature' fragrances stem from. Its the smell of a Woman.. in all her glory..not old granny!! its feminine and heavenly.

I find Chanel Allure to be a very comforting scent. A perfect day-time winter scent and yet i find it fitting for spring evenings too. It is floral jasmine scent that wraps you up in its comforting floral scent with a sweet vanilla base. The staying power is perceptible enough to attract a lot of compliments - yet its not overpowering. I may not a a frequent wearer of Allure but i appreciate its beauty.

I quite like Allure by Chanel as its so fresh and fruity smelling. It reminds me of Jasmine and vanilla as i spray it on me which settle into lovely honeysuckle later on. It is sort of perfume which i feel is not age restricting, young women as well as mature women can wear it.I love to dab Allure on inside of my elbow and i just keep on smelling them. Its a sensual and alluring perfume. The bottle design is simple and classical. Hmmm maybe should go to my wardrobe and spray a little.

I have liked numerous perfumes but I have never found a perfume I felt could be my signature perfume. Then one day, I walked into the Chanel Boutique in Edgars, V&A and a friend was telling me how she loves no5 and not a lot of women love Allure. To me no5 is okay but a little but too overpowering for me (I guess each women for her own). I went straight for the Allure and I immediately fell in love with this fragrance. To me it smelled divine and heavenly. It has a floral and vanilla smell. I love the smell of vanilla by the way. It was like this perfume was made for me. Like it chose me. (And my friend told me that the slogan defines me so me and allure are a match made in heaven lol). I even sprayed some of it on my fingers. I left the store but I couldn't stop smelling my fingers for the rest of the day (people in the mall probably thought I was weird or something).
