The packaging is in the colour of the lipstick, so it's easy to identify* The application is easier with a lip brush as the lipstick is a tad thick and dry - You definitely need to apply this lippie on top of a good lipbalm or vaseline, to assist with spreading and moisture. The smell is a bit strong, almost liquorice/fennel, but not quite. You need only apply one or two coats, any more and you will start to see it becomes 'cakey'. The pigments are not too bad. I have a deep purple color and I love the richness of the color. The lipstick however is far too glossy and would do better as a lipgloss. It doesn't last long at all but I don't mind touch ups especially when the color is so gorgeous . I try to look for the best in products. But i have absolutely nothing nice to say about this product. I paid R10 for it on the Foschini sale and I am glad I didn't waste any more money than that. When I picked it up, it looked like a beautiful deep purple color. I got home to try it and I was so disappointed. Firstly, it smells awful. Applying it to my lips was disgusting. The texture of the lipstick was like vaseline. It was very "fatty". The color turned out to be a deep red instead of a purple. The colored of the lipstick and the color once applied is completely different. One coat left a very sheer coat on my lips. I had to put on about 5 coats before I saw the deep red color.
