It has a nice fresh, slick packaging and is also small enough to fit into any purse without taking up too much space. The best part about this cream is that it is kind to the skin. It is easy to apply and is as easily absorbed. It has a nice light feel to it, like a normal moisturizer, with a somewhat mattifying effect but without that tight feeling most mattifying creams leave you with. When you find the right shade for your skin tone, it blends wonderfully and doesn't have a strong smell to it. I must add that the other thing I love about this cream is that it gives your skin a nice glorious, subtle, shimmery glow in the sun and also offers a SPF of 50 to ensure that your skin is not only flawless but protected as well. It surely seems like it will be a worthwhile addition to my beauty routine. Its still early days but I'm sold on it, none the less. On its own it doesn't give me enough coverage as a foundation would but what it does for my skin is unbelievable. My skin glows with radiance and the high spf which intially I thought would make my skin oily does nothing of the sort. Using foundation over this is the best part , my foundation glides on and I use much less as before and my skin is left looking flawless the entire day.My shade is nude, I was sceptical when I was told that this is my shade because its so light but it blends it and matches my skin perfectly. I washed my face and used a toner before taking the pic **Step 2: Apply the CC cream directly onto the skin. I squirted a generous amount ( for the purposes of this pic- I usually don’t use a lot) onto my finger, applied five dots (forehead, nose, chin, right cheek, left cheek) of it onto my face and then rubbed onto my face evenly in order to smooth it out. An applicator can be used, like a makeup brush or sponge, but I prefer my finger to be able to blend in and smooth out the liquid easier. I love the fact that it’s easy to apply and not heavy because I prefer a natural look and the Avon CC Cream is quite light and translucent. I would prefer a bit more colour and coverage for the few marks that I have on my skin, so I just added more on those spots, left it for a few seconds, then dabbed it in to not be so stark. Another reason why I scored the ‘quality field’ on this moisturiser so high is because it contains a high SPF in it. A lot of the other daily moisturising creams contain an SPF 30 sunblock in. As I am darker skinned and burn quicker- I appreciate the SPF 50 in this product. I tried to research if the sunblock is oil or gel based because after the application of the cream, my skin seems a bit too shiny for my liking. I now use this with a bit of lose powder over just for a more settled look. **Step 3: Finish off with the look with mascara, eye liner and gloss. Use some of your favourite jet liner (liquid liner), mascara, lipstick and lip gloss to finish off the look. When I put the cream onto my face it felt as though I was putting oil onto my skin. I already have a fairly oily T-Zone and this cream didn't seem to control that at all and in fact, worsened it! I also found that I ended up with a breakout after using it for 3 days and then I just couldnt bring myself to carry on using it. I think this is only the second CC cream I have actually tried, the first being the Chanel which was nice with light to medium coverage but that only comes out in one shade which only worked for me in the winter. The Avon CC cream has a range of 9 shades ranging from Ivory which is the lightest shade to Sable which is the darkest. I received Natural beige which is the darkest of the 4 light shades and was a pretty good match for my skin. It has a SPF of 50 which is pretty high for any CC cream and I've only ever used it in the day so I cant vouch for the effects of flash photography. It claims to have light to medium buildable coverage for dark spots and uneven skin tone. It contains liquorice and Vitamin C to improve dullness and skin tone. I would describe this CC cream as a tinted moisturizer because it had no coverage effects at all on me. I wore it on days I wanted a minimal no makeup day but still wanted a even skin tone which it does give. If you need coverage for problem areas your going to have to use a concealer of some sort but if your just looking for a light veil of even skin tone then this CC cream would be perfect. I basically just used it as a sun screen that added a touch of colour which is always beneficial. On its own it lasted about 3 to 4 hours on my skin and with a primer I got about another hours wear out of it. If your ok with skin that looks glowy then this would be nice but if you have oily skin then this will not work for you at all as it accentuates oily areas. I found that trying to build it just added to the oil so I would not recommend this. Really good product for minimal no makeup makeup. It has understated elegance. It comes in a very convenient tube (30ml) that fits comfortably in even small handbags. It dispenses just the right amount of product with each squeeze and a little goes a long way - take care! You don't want to use too much! It has an SPF of 50, which is perfect for our SA weather, however, I wouldn't want to wear it in Summer as I'm afraid it would simply melt off once heated up. It is VERY creamy. This is my first experience with a CC cream, which I received from the lovely ladies at Beauty Bulletin. How on earth they got my colour (Natural Beige) just right, only they know – it blended perfectly! My first impression was that it was a bit oily and took a while to blend into my skin. Also, it started to flake off in bits while I was applying it, which was not nice at all. I thought about that and realised that perhaps I should try applying it without using moisturizer first. This did the trick! It went on a lot better and there was no “crumbling” or flakes in my sink. The coverage of the CC cream is definitely NOT a foundation, so if that’s what you need, then this is not for you. However, if you want a light coverage and a more even skin tone, then I would recommend this product wholeheartedly. I found that it had fine (tiny) bits of glitter (more like shimmer) which was part of the reason that it illuminates your skin so well. I have a lot of surface veins and although I could still see them, they appeared lighter after applying the AVON CC cream. The texture on my skin, was silky, not oily at all. I blended it with my fingers as I think it wouldn’t blend as nice with a brush. It has a soft, clean fragrance that does not irritate, but simply evaporates after a while. I can recommend it for sensitive skin like mine, as I didn’t have any adverse effects afterwards. I guess you could set it with pressed powder, but you’d lose the illuminating effect which is probably what was intended with the cream in the first place. So, no, I wouldn’t use a powder over it. This CC cream is perfect for those who don’t want a heavy mask or obvious coverage, but a light cover just to smooth out the more obvious “flaws”. It did soften the redness of my chin quite a bit, but you do need to touch it up now and again during the day if, like me, you tend to touch your face a lot. Would I buy it? Hmmm I don’t think so because I like the coverage of a foundation that doesn’t budge during the day, but it’s perfect for daytime use if you’re not the makeup type of gal and go more for the natural look. It will give you the “natural look” without much effort. I have included pics, but the quality of the camera is so poor, I’m not sure they’re worth placing. On the one pic, I just did my cheek and chin on the one half of my face so that you could see the contrast. The blob on my hand shows how it looks before blending. I opened the tube of CC Cream and began to squeeze a small amount out into the palm of my hand. Rubbing my hands together, then rubbing my CC Cream evenly all over my face. Once i had blended my Cc Cream nicely into my face I looked up into my mirrow. Suddenly I let out an unexpected scream!! I looked like a ghost!! The shade I received was Nude.... This was way too light for me. I was not overjoyed about that, but decided to still carry out the testing of this product. It does go on very smoothly, it covers all imperfections where needed and does last the whole day ( I know this as i left my Nude CC Cream on the whole day - but stayed at home - aka - Looked like a ghost ). So this has been my first experience using a cc cream and I must say it absolutely great. I have a combination skin type and need to drink a lot of water especially during winter as I find that my skin dries out and the areas that are not oily (i.e. cheeks, chin, forehead). Over and above this, I also have fair skin, this means that when I don’t wear a blush or some base then I literally look like the walking dead, my skin looks pale and I look like I haven’t slept in forever. Needless to say the slight tint that the cc cream provides, combined with the moisturizing SPF 50 gives me a subtle bronzy glow which lasts for about +-8 hours which is long enough to make it through a working day. The cream has a lightweight feel to it, once applied you can feel it on your skin and after a few minutes you forget completely that you have applied a cream. Unlike some cc creams Avon’s Ideal Flawless CC Cream has pleasant smell that is not overpowering once applied. Being fair of complexion I have some red capillaries on my face (due to showering with very hot water and stepping into the cold immediately after) which the cc cream easily hides as well as the light brown blemishes dues to acne scarring. I like the fact that the cream benefits me two fold covering my skin’s flaws as well as providing UV protection (ladies, remember that UV rays are present during the day even when there is cloud cover and no sun). Overall, I am quite pleased with the overall results of the cc cream and would recommend it to anybody who wants some slight cover of a base combined with the protection of a SPF 50 from harmful UV rays. I would also recommend this product to teenagers who are first timers to base/concealers as it is a good starter product without looking too mature for your age and feeling like the makeup is being “caked” on. As a regular Avon customer I was overly excited when I received the Ideal Flawless CC Cream! And as most of the time, Avon definitely lived up to its' quality and standard. Just like a coin with two sides, this product has its pros and cons. The Ideal Flawless CC Cream, provides a medium coverage with abit of shimmer and the best part is the SPF 50! Coverage + Protection= Bonus! The product basically allows for less products to be applied, which is great! The ideal flawless CC Cream claims to lighten dark spots within two weeks. in the first week of using the product, not much could be seen and the product absorbed quite nicely into the skin. However, the change came in week 2, while my dark spots have lightened, my chin and forehead has broken out with many pimples! So while I achieved what the product claims, it has also created more dark spots unfortunately. One last issue with the CC Cream, is that the cream is of a much lighter colour, therefore you may not even achieve a medium coverage with product. Yet this can be solved by buying 1 colour darker. Now it’s up to each individual to decide on purchasing the product or not. I'm usually a skeptic when it comes to foundations/concealers because my skin tends to let me down at important times. I have combination skin so this product worked well for my skin. I don't usually like wearing foundation, but I enjoyed using this product as it was natural looking. Although I didn't use a moisturiser with it, I wouldn't advise a person who has dry skin to use this product. It has a powdery feel once applied. But This worked to my advantage as I didn't need to layer. Meaning, as a working mum, always on the go, I didn't need to use a moisturiser before or translucent powder after, to cover up shiny patches. And the other good thing is that my skin looked sort of radiant. Someone commented that I have a doll's complexion-I'm assuming she meant porcelain. So that was a positive comment that I picked up. What I noticed yesterday, is that the pimple scars on my chin has faded. And 2 pimples that were beginning to erupt did not turn red or leave a scar. So this product has some magic. This recently introduced ‘multi-tasking miracle’ works like this – with its light weight formula, it contains color correcting pigments to conceal spots and blemishes WHILE fading existing pigmentation such as the unsightly acne spots in my chin area that just - well, will not allow me to be great. Adored the cream’s light, beachy, ultra-feminine fragrance and between that and how perfectly the shade I selected blended with my skin tone– I couldn’t wait to get cracking with the cream. Now I’m a cover girl. I love my coverage. I NEED my coverage. The texture of the cream and how easily it absorbed was by far not too shabby for a cream. However it did very little to conceal my acne spots, which admittedly is my primary concern and therefore the area I wanted to tackle most when using this cream. The results I wanted to see were around the correcting bit, so I could see a reduction on the appearance of my acne spots. Aesthetically, I found it to have a warm sensation on my skin after application that lingered on a while after application – I figured this was owed to the correcting element of the cream. Now I’m usually extremely pedantic when it comes to sensations on my skin following a product application I know many people like to ‘feel’ things for them to believe they’re truly working but I’m one of those that like to see results as opposed to feeling them. Besides heat on skin normally means darkening and as a dark skinned person this is never an ideal. But having used the CC cream for 3 weeks full now nothing adverse has resulted from it except that I’ve noted, pleasantly so, that the newer acne spots on my forehead seemed to have faded a great deal. My main focus now is to see the same on the much older marks around my chin area. I’m currently enjoying the CC cream for daytime coverage and as a base moisturizer under my full cover foundation. The CC cream is lightweight and gives a natural looking matte finish. It is non-sticky and feels very comfortable on the skin. On me, it provided a medium coverage which is perfect for everyday use. It evened out my skin tone – I mean it made my skin look flawless! I am yet to notice the fading of any dark marks and hopefully, I will see the expected results with continued use. Whenever I applied the CC cream, I set it with powder to prevent transfer and increase its longevity. The SPF50 is a major plus!! This CC cream did not break out my skin and not once did my skin look oily throughout the day. The only downside to this product might be the price. I believed that the BB cream was the mother of all creams, offering everything that we "non-heavy-makeup" girls preferred. When I got the sample from Beauty Bulletin, first I was pleased that the Sable shade I had indicated actually matched my skin tone 100%! And then a bonus was the SPF50, which I had never seen anywhere, with any cream. That was a definite plus for me. On application, the cream gave me an instant glow and boost, though I did find it to be slighly on the oily side, especially on the T-Panel (nothing a stroke of pressed powder could not fix). I have uneven skin, and a few small marks from a bad habit of squeezing pimples. This cream offered not only coverage, but I realized after 2 weeks that the marks were looking much lighter, and my skin tone was getting more even. The cream also seemed to be ideal for use at night - despite the SPF. I had a few functions to attend, and needed some perfect coverage, and I thought why not? I found that this lasted the entire night, perfect under my colours (eye-shadow and blush), although some of it did rub off on my top as it's not 100% colour-stay. The cream is easy to apply, and is concentrated and I don't need a lot of it so even though it is small it will last a while. The cream does not completely cover the marks on my face but it does lighten them by about 2-3 shades lighter which is amazing for me. The dark circles under my eyes are almost completely unseen which is a major confidence boost for me.. I'm not so afraid to let people to close to me now. I have not seen the marks fade yet but the coverage is wonderful for me who really needs it, and what I love most about the cream is that I never broke out into pimples so it never clogged my pores and is suitable for my sensitive skin. The look is natural and not overdone as a lot of foundations tend to do. My face looks and feels wonderful with a natural glow to it. It has SPF50 sun protection and does not feel one bit like sunscreen which is completely amazing. I LOVE IT!!!!!!! I got away with wearing it out by wearing a scarf and applying bronzer over and the results were amazing. I love that it's SPF 50 as we all know how unpredictable the weather is in cape town so it seems that i was always prepared for UV rays :) My skin tone has evened out and definitely gave me enough coverage after one application. However, before that I would like to say thank you to Beauty Bulletin for sending me the Avon ideal flawless CC cream. Now Let's get started: The Packaging I absolutely love the packaging! The black packaging gives the product a very sophisticated look. The pop of pink colour goes well with all black packaging. The only downside I find is that the shade colour is printed at the back with white background. Just like all the information that is on the front I prefer the shade name to be in the front with same font as the bottom half of the tube. About A CC cream stands for colour correcting and it is basically a tinted moisturizer. The Avon CC cream states that it is lightweight multi-tasking formula with colour correcting pigments conceals flaws immediately and fades the look of pigmentation. The Formula The Avon CC cream formula comes in a cute travel size tube, consisting of 30ml of the product. In addition, the CC cream also has a pretty high sun protection factor (SPF) of 50. In order to find your right shade you should definitely visit a store and hold the sample colours against your jawline to find your perfect shade. The formula consistency is really in the middle by that I mean the cream isnot to liquid or thick. It has a nice consistency, which helps the product blend in more easily. Also, the formula is buildable. So, after applying the first layer, you find yourself wanting a bit more coverage you can go ahead and apply a second layer. The formula also has a very unique scent which is not too strong. The scent I believe is a combination of sunscreen and the cosmetic scent that makeup products have. It is a likeable scent, which after application does linger on the face. You can smell a waft of it when you are moving around and doing your daily work. However, like I said it is a lovely light scent. The Application I tried applying Avon CC cream with my fingers and the brush. I think using a brush is a better option than the fingers because it will give you a even, smooth coverage. Once applied on the face it does not feel like you have something on your faces fact your skin feels smooth and soft. So again it is lightweighted but of course like I said above, as you move around you will smell the scent of it here and there. Here are the steps to applying Avon CC cream: 1) To apply CC cream I think. You will need to apply sunscreen or moisturizers. Even though there is a high SPF of 50, applying more sunscreen will not cause damage to your skin, it will further protect it. The reason for applying sunscreen or moisturizer before is because your face would be soft and moistures giving the CC cream a better finish. *If you have tried this method please let me know the difference down below in the comments. It will help others to make a decision whether to use a moisturizer before applying a CC cream or not.* 2) You need a good brush to apply Avon CC cream. A brush that you love to use for foundation or any other face products. It does not really have to be a brush it could be a sponge, beauty blender etc. Basically anything that gives the product a nice, natural finish because that particular tool will come in handy with this CC cream as well. The Verdict The Avon CC cream is worth a try. The consistency of the formula is good and also buildable. Once, this is applied you will smell a scent on your face but it is not too strong. Perfect for those who prefer scented makeup products and also those who are not a fan of scented makeup products. So, the Avon CC cream carriers to all people because nothing is too extreme or too less. I have honestly not tried this product enough time to tell you if it improves the look of dullness, dark circles and redness or helps fade the look of pigmentation as the products states. In the end, I would just like to say how a product suit someone and their opinions differ from person to person. If you genuinely want to try the Avon CC cream give it a shot maybe it will work for you better than others. Everyone skin type differs and so does peoples choices. It's not heavy like a regular foundation and provides medium coverage on the first application but it can be built up to a heavier base if necessary. There's no overwhelming fragrance in the cream which is something I have picked up from using similar creams before. I used it over two weeks and enjoyed the flawless finish it gave my skin. The marks left from my acne cleared up considerably and it didn't irritate or aggravate the acne already present. It's a non-oily formula but it does need a bit of powder to keep my t-zone matte for a good few hours. I would definitely suggest regular exfoliation of the skin to work with this CC Cream as it does amplify the dry patches on my face. The colour was a teensy bit too light for my skin tone on application but it blended quite well after a few minutes. It doesn't require a lot of remover at the end of the day and is quite gentle on the skin. It's not a product that I would apply quickly as I found it streaked my skin easily and needed to be blended with a bit more care. All in all, I would say this is a really good product that I would not only purchase again but pass the word around about too. I am a sucker for Avon products so was exceptionally excited to try their new CC Cream! I have used BB creams in the past and have been impressed by the convenience of the all-in-one product! Avon’s CC cream has some amazing claims such as helps eliminate dark spots, evens and improves skin tone. I love the fact that it is SPF 50 coverage, simply as I am forgetful when it comes to applying sunscreen, and we cannot afford to forget, in the South African sun (even in winter!). Honestly, I found the coverage to be very poor, it gave my skin a gorgouse dewy finish – but I wasn’t confident to wear it on its own. After reading more into it, I decided to give it a try and use it as a primer followed by my usual foundation routine. As a primer, it gives my skin a stunning glow and it doesn’t flake, all while protecting my skin from the sun and making my makeup last longer. Although they say it is buildable coverage, I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it, as I found it became crumby! One thing that is definitely commendable is how it evens the skin tone over time. Really. So obviously I was excited to be included in the review club for the CC cream, I previously enjoyed Avon's BB Cream. I like to use something constantly and consistently in order to give it a proper review, I wore this CC cream everyday these past few weeks. I have worn it on its own and as a primer under my foundation. I find it works best for me as a primer. I tend to use less foundation as it does give a small amount of coverage but it seems my make up sticks around a little longer with this underneath. In the beginning I did not notice to much of a change in my skin tone as Avon promises, it does brighten up my skin to a slightly dewy look when wearing it but it wasn't until the end of my trial did I notice that it has faded a few dark spots here and there but I can't say it has made a huge difference. I would definitely say this is a very light coverage CC cream, its not enough for me to wear on its own on a daily basis. I am honestly very very impressed and very happy as i can see improvement on my skin. i have also applied my normal base and then only applied the cc cream and to be honest the CC cream is by far the best it leaves my skin silky soft, moisturised and smooth. This is an overall stunning product. I was lucky enough to review the Avon Ideal Flawless CC Colour Correcting Cream in Ivory. I have very fair skin, with a cool pink undertone. The Ivory shade works perfectly with my skin, and left it feeling smooth and matte. It also covered up the redness in my skin. I did prefer a tiny bit more coverage, so I simply set the CC cream with pressed powder, and voilà! Ready for the day. I also have combination skin, so usually by the end of the day the foundation in my T-zone has faded. The CC cream actually lasted longer, and it felt light on my skin the whole day, as if I wasn't wearing any make-up. It also didn't leave my skin feeling sticky or dry after application, as some foundations do. Unfortunately I have not been using the product for two weeks so I can not yet say whether it truly improves dullness and dark circles, or helps fade pigmentation, but so far I am very impressed with the product. It provides UVA/UVB SPF 50, which is more than I've seen in most other similar products. The best part of it all is that it is completely affordable! I'm guessing it will last about two months, if not more, as I literally only needed to use a drop of product to cover my whole face area. I definitely recommend this product to all girls who make an effort to protect their skin from the sun, and who prefer a natural look and feel when it comes to make-up! My daily routine for work or home usually consists of cleansing, toning and moisturising, with maybe a slick of lipgloss and mascara at most. Sometimes if my skin is in really bad condition then the lipgloss and mosituriser will be tinted to mask some of my imperfections and brighten my pale look. Full on makeup, on every part of my face is reserved for special occasions because my laptop, which I spend facing most of the time, quite frankly could hardly be bothered by the way that I look. I was sent the Avon CC Cream by Beauty Bulletin and was curious to see how it could be incorporated into my daily routine. Having read the packaging, which was white writing on a black, classy screw top tube, I realised it could be substituted as my daytime moisturiser step as it had multiple benefits. These included colour correcting properties to hide my dark spots and gradually even my skin tone, SPF50 to block most of the harmful sun rays and prevent new pigmentation issues and moisturising benefits. The colour I chose, which was Shell, blended in very well with my natural skin colour and it even made my skin glow with a newfound dewy radiance. It did a great job of concealing my underlying acne issues and did not result in any significant breakouts. On really bad skin days, I used two coats to boost the moisture in my skin and it gave me the same result as foundation would, without the caked on feeling and look. I have been using it for almost a month during the day and although I have not seen any visible difference in my natural skins condition, it does look far more polished with the CC cream on. It is something I would recommend to those who do not like foundation but want smoother skin. Unfortunately, my product arrived late in the mail (postage service woes) and I, therefore, had a limited time to assess its impact on my skin. That being said, even after a short period of 1.5 weeks, I was pleasantly surprised by the result. The packaging was pretty standard (which didn’t bother me much as I am a sound believer that the proof of the pudding is in the eating ;)). The cream however had a fresh, zesty smell which I absolutely loved. Its texture was smooth and its application light on the skin. Winter made its presence felt in Durban this year so I chose to apply the cream over my regular moisturizer, to avoid my skin drying out. The cream felt lovely on my skin and revealed a beautiful glow which lasted long into my working day. It effectively evened out my complexion as promised, giving me a confidence I rarely have in my skin, unless of course I’ve done my entire makeup routine, primer, foundation, concealer etc. Others noticed and were impressed so I used the opportunity to do some freelance Marketing for Avon. SPF 50 (WOW) - who can complain about that? I did not expect to see much of a difference and read the product reviews and descriptions with a grain of salt, but I was proven wrong. First thing I liked about the product was the ease of use, I am a very au natural girl, meaning I don't wear foundations, BB creams and concealers so using a concealer was very new to me. What I loved was that I didn't need any brushes or special products to apply, all I needed was my fingers. Similar products usually feels caked on and heavy, however this cream felt so light, and I barely noticed that I was wearing a concealer. Immediately after application it made my skin feel smooth, dewy and very healthy. It was living up to its purpose so I was keen to see whether it would fade of the dark spots on my face. I have horrible dark pigmentation on my cheekbones, and after two weeks of use, they have definitely lightened up, so not only are they fading, the CC cream is hiding these flaws. My skin looks so much better after just two weeks of use, that even my husband has noticed and commented on how beautiful my skin is looking. The CC cream worked wonders blending into my skin to evenly tone colour and leave a smooth finish (perfect for my Mozambique holiday photos)The only problem was it didn't manage to cover the red blemishes. I have had a problem with some foundations making my pores look bigger than what they are and some even used to go into my pores which made my skin look dirty and ugly. With the new CC Cream, it goes on like a moisturiser and it looks great for a long length of time. I absolutely love it. It is also great because it provides me with an SPF 50 which is especially good for me when I am out with my two girls playing in the harsh winter sun. Another thing I truly love about this product is that it contains licorice and Vitamin C, which has been proven to lighten & even the skin. This we need at my age as getting older is not a joke and I would love to keep on wearing my age well. I feel that the more I end up using it the better my skin will look and that is great. I suffer from enlarged pores on my nose, as well as dark rings under my eyes and of course with age we all end up getting those blasted age spots, well luckily I am in the beginning stages of the latter hehehehe so I only have one spot, but still a pain in the "cheek" all the same lol. I have been using my CC Cream on its own, yip no powder, foundation, etc. etc. being used with it at all, and I must say I am very impressed. First thing I noticed, YAY NO MORE ENLARGED PORES, they seemed to disappear right before my eyes. I was TOTALLY astonished and astounded, yes can you believe both at the same time, so I guess you can say I was astonishounded. Secondly it helped to diminish the blackness below my eye, it didn't take it totally away, probably because I had nothing else over the CC Cream and perhaps had I used concealer, now that I think about it, it probably would have taken the black bags away and magically made me look normal again hehehehe. Thirdly, my age spot also seemed to fade away, not totally like I would have totally loved hehehe, but it minimised it to such an extent that it was not soooo "in your face" excuse the pun lol. And of course just to finish off, it lasts all day long and you don't even realise you are wearing your CC Cream because it is so light on your skin, and makes your skin feel softer too, well it did that to my skin, which I was enjoying to the MAX, one thing I cannot stand is make-up that makes you feel like you took a bag of wet cement and slathered it all over your face. With that in mind, I must also point out that during the day one tends to rub your face or some part of your face and when I remembered I had my cream on and tended to go "oh no going to have make-up on my fingers" with a look of utter disgust on my face, I just have to point out that at no time when I touched my face did I have any of my CC Cream on my fingers, it was such a lovely change that from now on all I will wear is my CC Cream, with a touch of bronzer and of course my lip gloss and a hint of eye shadow. So instead of spending five minutes applying your serum, moisturizer, primer, foundation and sunblock, you could just apply BB cream and be set. CC cream stands for color or complexion correcting—is similar to BB cream, but amped up a bit more on skin care. They're a little heavier on anti-aging, helping with uneven skin tone, age spots, wrinkles and other simple skin issues. Like the BB cream, CC cream contains moisturizer, sunscreen and has the same amount of tint with the usual choices in fair-light, light-medium and medium-deep. Often the SPF on CC creams will be higher than in BB creams in an effort to help prevent additional skin problems caused by the sun. So I tried Avons' CC Cream after using a BB Cream for a while. I must say the texture of the Avon CC Cream felt a little more oilier compaired with the BB Cream. The application was fine, yet the coverage a little less desirable. Teh shade was a little less subtle than the BB cream, however this is subjective to my skin tone and the brand I used for the BB Cream as well. Saying this, I did feel that the CC Cream held my makeup better than the BB Cream - because of its oilier texture. p.s. Top Tip: I suggest applying a light / loose powder to counter act the oilyness of the CC Cream, and you will have a more even or polished finish. After 5 days, I noticed that my face was beginning to look brighter. The dark shadows under my eyes had definitely lightened and the 50 UV protection had definitely helped to keep sunburn away. I was so impressed by the cream, that I had to tell my aunt about it as well. She has started to get dark pigmentation on her upper cheekbone, just under eyes. The doctor said that this was attributed to age. She has been using the cream for a week now and she has already seen a difference, a lightening of the dark areas. I would definitely recommend this cream to anyone. Even if you do not have any severe blemishes, it helps to even out your tone. Let me start by saying I swear by Avon Magix Skin Perfector, it's a great product to wear if you don't feel like plakking the make-up on and want to go bare-faced. Well, their CC cream knocks spots off the skin perfector. For me, its like a primer with a tint. I can wear it without base if I am feeling brave and am having a clear skin day, or it works perfectly under a foundation to create an even smoother and more even toned face than ever before. I like that it is light and so you feel like your face is bare, but yet it easily evens out your skin. And it has an SPF 50! Awesome! Yes, I still need a little concealer on some troublesome spots, but its definitely a more natural look. My hubby asked me why my skin was glowing the other morning. I said "huh? Is it shiny???" and he said "No, it just looks glowy!" High praise from a man who HATES make-up!!! As usual the Avon packaging is simple, practical, but still manages to look cute. I loved the BB cream but always had to use a moisturiser to cover up the dry patches which I so often get. With the CC cream i don't need to use an extra moisturiser and it feels so light and natural and definately has more coverage than the BB cream (Covered all my blemishes and red spots instantly). My main concern however, was the colour, I chose soft honey but as a frequent customer of Avon I've learnt never to order lipstick from them as the colours are never the same as the book its always lighter, I therefore, would never dare order any foundation from them. However, even though the soft honey looked light it blended really well with my skin and I am Indian, my white friend also tried some and it blended well with her skin as well. The Avon CC cream is definately a must to try and I will be ordering another bottle straight away and while the price is so reasonable. An added bonus is the SPF 50 which I have not seen in any other brand of CC Cream. Will be throwing out the BB cream and sticking to this. Coverage is quite sheer and I still saw a bit of redness seeping through but because of its closer to pink tone base this is great for hiding dark circles and pigmentation definitely evens out skin tone and brighten due to its slightly shimmery formula. One of the first things I noticed about Avon's CC Cream when I swatched it on my hand was the powdery texture it had to it's finish, made the skin on my had just look dry. I also noticed that it settled in to the lines on the back of my hand. The bad part was the way it made my hand look dry and powdery was the same result I got on my face and any little dry patches that I had were greatly accentuated. I would recommend this for only oily skinned girls which this product is perfect for but if you have dry skin or even normal or combination I would avoid it. Sets and blends pretty easily because it has silicone in it like a primer. The product feels light on the face and I barely notice I have it on, it has a matte finish and dries down quickly. What first impressed me was the fact that this CC Cream has a SPF 50 in it, as someone who protects her skin religiously this made me excited that Avon would think of the protection of their consumers skin, we are all within reach of UVA and UVB rays even while just sitting at our desks working on our computers, so this made me see they take our skins health seriously. The added licorice and Vitamin C in the formula is also a sign that Avon cares about the health of our skin. I'm also very impressed with the packaging, the tube is great and easily recognizable in my make up kit, the screen printing looks elegant and expensive, my only problem here is that I wish that it was a little bigger and contained more product, I simply can't get enough of this CC Cream! The product does have a slight sunscream/ chemically scent to it but this neither affects it and has not lingered on my skin whilst I have been using the product. But beware don't get this product in your eye as you will be left with a weepy eye! This cream offers a light to medium coverage that is buildable, it left my skin feeling primed, even and soft, it melts into the skin easily leaving a slight illuminescence and a dewy glow although it's finish is more matte than glossy. I also find an additional benefit it seems to mask the appearance of large pores! A blessing in disguise to those who suffer rom enlarged pores. I need to point out again how soft and smooth my skin felt after using this, it honestly felt like smooth, soft and supple and full of vibrancy, it is a great product and I'm sure after the effects that I've noticed that it does live up to its advertised promise of fading spots, refining lines and even-ing skin tone with constant use - of course. I do find this is not 100% colour correcting in the sense that It does not contain any of the contrasting coloring that normal color corrector a do I.e. Green/ purple or yellow pigments which aid to cover red pigmentation, dark circles and lack luster skin, it is however very hydrating on your skin and does leave the glow and dewy look which a lot of color correctors leave behind. Perhaps they are instead referring to the fact that it evens out your skin tone and repairs dark blemishes instead of the more 'traditional' color correcting applications. I did have one slight problem, as we had to choose our colors from an image this nude shade is slightly too light for my skin, I have therefore been using it as you are meant to use a CC cream, under my foundation, this creates a great surface that is even and smooth and assists with the covering of dark patches and blemishes and acts like a primer does. It also makes your make up last longer throughout the day with less creasing and wear. It is great not matter if you use this product by itself or with other make up. Lots of products usually leave like an overly powdered look on my face that I have to wait to fade before I leave the house. This settled in perfectly and suited my skin colour. The second thing that I loved was that its SPF 50! Using an SPF 50 sunscreen together with my moisturiser and foundation just made my skin feel clogged and heavy. But this cream provided the coverage and it has a super light-weight texture. It wasn't heavy on my face at all. Third, and most important, I definitely saw a difference in my face. My face looked brighter and slight discolourations on my face have become lighter. I was quite surprised as I have only been using the cream for exactly two weeks. Others have also complimented me about the difference in my skin. However, I also used it with my regular moisturiser as a I have very dry skin in winter. CC stands for colour correcting and it deals with the many issues that most of us struggle with on a daily basis. I have always had dark bags under my eyes, this has gotten worse with lack of sleep caused by two very active little kids and I can never seem to reduce the appearance of them..as well as having a quite noticeable red pigmentation in my face. I am fair skinned so any mark or flaw tends to stand out!! The colour that I received to test was Avon CC in Ivory (64462) and I couldn't wait to get started. You are supposed to notice a difference in your skin in just two weeks!! I was very excited at the prospect of using this lightweight cream that is said to contain a multi-tasking formula which conceals and corrects.. It sounds absolutely amazing!! The packaging of the product is once again eye catching and although quite simple, it has an element of class and sophistication. It looks like a luxury item and I love the way the CC written in silver catches the light and shimmers. The writing is easy to read and the fact that it is SPF 50 is clearly highlighted. I think that this is an added bonus when using this product. not only are you correcting flaws, but you are protecting your skin from any future damage caused by the sun. So important to protect your skin and its definitely a huge benefit of this product! The cap on the tube is easy to unscrew and open.. So many products aren't user friendly, but this is effortless... I love the range of colours that this product comes in.. With such a wide range, you are able to find and match a cream perfectly to your skin tone. The Ivory matched so well with mine and is definitely the perfect fit. I am really impressed with this CC cream. Only a small amount placed on your palm and it goes so far! This might only be a 30ml tube, but because you only using a small amount each time, it will definitely last and well worth the money! Avon have a special trial price at the moment.. The normal selling price is R159.95 but if you are wanting to trial it, the trial price is only R84.95. Now that is a saving of over 45% What a bargain!! After using this product continuously for two weeks, my thoughts on it is that I love it!! its truly brilliant! The cream is so easy to apply and my face looks brighter and clearer... more illuminated. I loved that the colour is even and there are no patches, it blends well and it was as if I wasn't wearing any makeup. The cream is so light and my face didn't feel weighed down with cream and didn't feel oily at all! The results are really unbelievable! I have used some well known Balms before without much satisfaction as they were too oily for me. I believe that a CC cream is a good choice for me as I have to deal with hyper pigmentation and redness. The product is packaged nice and simple and is great for dispensing just the right amount. It is slightly sticky to the touch and has to be blended well into the skin for an even finish. The medium beige colour is almost a good match for my skin tone except on the pigmented areas. I have been using the cream for ten days now. It provides a sheer light coverage but it is buildable after letting it dry for a few minutes. I prefer a medium coverage so I used it under my foundation and dusted with powder. Unfortunately by midday my skin was already getting shiny and my makeup was beginning to slip off. My skin is sensitive to SPF which sometimes causes blemishes but I have not had this happen so far. I have however found that the SPF in it, although good, is perhaps not suited for my skin as I had appeared darker by the afternoon as well as in pictures. I am now only using it at night. I have noticed a significant difference in the tone of my skin. It is much more even and I do not need to apply much concealer anymore, the cream has definitely improved the overall appearance of my skin. So, what is the first thing you do when you pick up a product - you look at and read the packaging. Avon cc cream comes in a classic black and silver tube which says "ideal flawless colour corrector cream SPF 50". If my complection came with packaging it would read "fair skin, freckles and pigmentation and because I suffer from chronic sinus - dark circles". Enough to make any cc cream cringe! Now fair skin does not sound so daunting but let me tell you - one micron to light or dark and it becomes a terrifying picture! The shade I used is Ivory and it is absolutely perfect!! A match made in heaven! I was concerned that it might not be able to fade the look of my pigmentation and freckles but I had no need to worry - a flawless coverage whilst still looking very natural, faint sunkisses visible which is as I prefer it. As I said my dark circles is always a worry as it is very obvious. Avon cc cream made a huge difference - very impressive indeed. The 50 SPF is another added benefit to this cc cream. In our climate it is impossible to even consider leaving your house without sunprotection. And I always wonder do I apply sunscreen first, then make-up or afterwards. The price is reasonable for just R84.95 as an introductory price. It definitely corrects your skins natural colour. It's light wearing and not heavy on the skin. All I can say... Is that I am a huge fan of this product. This product matched my skin perfectly (Ivory), it smelt great and was so easy to apply.. Best of all it made a huge difference to the overall look and feel of my skin. I have a combination skin and a few freckles (that I love) but the CC cream really just evened out my skin tone and created a nice base for the rest of my make-up.. Best of all, I can use it on the weekends when I don't really have the time or energy to do a full face of make-up.. Big Fan.. I normally use heavy foundation so I thought this would be similar. I found it to be light on the skin and I really love the feeling, nothing heavy and my pores can still breathe. I have never used CC creams, in fact I am hardly a fan of liquid make up. Having received this product to test, I find the following: SPF 50!!!! I have super sensitive skin and so I burn easily, it is amazing that a Cream has such a high SPF. The color I received was medium beige, I would have been inclined to natural beige being closer to my tone. However, the cream is lighter in shade than it appears on the color guide, with a little blending, it was not noticeable at all. I am very happy with fact that it is easy to apply and not sticky. It covered a few dark spots I have and I noticed a lightening in this week that I have used it. My mother used the cream as well and commented on how easy it was to apply and cover without noticing. The downside? I would not have bought this for myself if I have not tried it now for myself. I am a person that does not wear base at all. I only put on a face cream in the morning and there I go. I find this cream light and comfortable. I never wear a base as I can feel it all day long, as if my skin is not breathing... must all be in my head... hahaha.... This cream is perfect for everyday use, and it hides my marks on my forehead that I got from our lovely South African sun and a hormone pill that was too strong for my body... its as if I don't even have any marks anymore, and you can not even see that I put on a cream to try and hide it. I will surely be buying this in the future and will also recommend this to anyone that also does not like to wear a heavy base. also perfect for the summer as it has a SPF of 50!!
