sorbet-hydro-skinThe Sorbet Hyrdo Skin SPF15 Day Cream promises to be your complete hydration solution for beautiful glowing skin. While our skin already has a protective barrier which helps to keep it hydrated and supple, external factors like the environment can compromise its effectiveness. Our skin overtime becomes dehydrated, irritated and prone to premature ageing. The Sorbet Hydro Skin SPF15 Day Cream is therefore packed with Vitamins A&E for added moisture and glowing skin.

Sorbet Hydro Skin Day Cream

My mom purchased this range with her sorbet gift voucher and so I had a chance to try it out. It kept my skin hydrated, washed off my makeup in a jiffy and unclogged my pores. It's not that soapy which I love about this range it's fantastic.

My all time favorite SA brand

I purchased the Hydro day cream about a week ago and I'm enjoying it to say the least. It's packed with Vitamin A (my favorite skin vitamin), C and E. It's a light and fast absorbing cream. It's has SPF 15, however, I still use SPF 50. It does what it says, hydrates the skin and does not feel greasy.

OK

This collection of skincare is split into 3 ranges and instead of opting for the traditional skin types categories (i.e. Dry, normal, oily and combination) they opted to address skin concerns instead which is ideal for me since my category is somewhat mixed I have oily yet dehydrated skin which means I sit in between oily ranges make my skin peel yet dry skin ranges make my skin too greasy (It’s a nightmare to find skincare that works for me. Trust me!). Packaging wise the products look quite sturdy and classy in glass like plastic also the tubs come with spatulas to prevent germs from spreading.

The ranges are:

Hydro Skin
sorbet-hydro-skin

The “blues” developed specifically for tired and dehydrated skin that needs a boost. Designed for people in their 20s. The 4 products in this range are designed to restore a bright and healthier looking complexion by incorporating moisture back into the skincare regimen. The magic ingredients in this are hyaluronic acid, shea butter, omega 3 & 6 and vitamin A & E. I was given the day and night cream (R149.95 each) to play with and once applied it really feels like I’ve just splashed water on my face. The scent smells like a green floral. The day cream only contains an SPF 15 which is a bit low so I would top up with a higher sunscreen afterwards.

Sorbet Hydro Skin Night Cream

Not only am I a huge fan of Sorbet salons, I am also hooked on the new Sorbet Hydro Skin Range! I have been using the Sorbet Hydro Skin Night Cream for a couple of days and I am completely flawed at the transformation of my skin. You see, I was of the belief that a night cream was just a sneaky way to get people to purchase more products, but I couldn't have been more wrong! Now I feel like I having been missing out on this skin nourishment for so long.

The Sorbet Hydro Skin Night Cream is packed in a glass looking tub which is in fact plastic, which is great news for clumsy people like myself. The packaging is clean and classy, I love the design of this new range. The night cream has a gorgeous scent without being overpowering and the consistency of the cream is thick, soothing and oh so hydrating! My skin feels instantly nourished and I can definitely feel and see some small improvements in my skin and there are NO dry patches to report at present. I will definitely continue with this night cream and consider purchasing some of the other products in this range. Thanks Sorbet, now I can feel pampered at home too!

Review of the Sorbet Hydro Skin SPF15 Day Cream

True to its name, the Sorbet Hydro Skin SPF15 Day Cream left me feeling moisturised throughout the day. Hydration creams are perfect for the hot and dry weather South Africa is currently experiencing.

Its texture is rich and luxurious and I can instantly feel any dryness I had disappear. A little goes a long way with the Hydro Skin SPF15 Day Cream thus guaranteed to last you a good amount of time before going out to repurchase. And believe me when I say you will go out and purchase another.

It is beautifully yet simplistically packaged and I definitely see myself going out to get another tub!
