Estee Lauder Idealist

This is the 5th serum that I am currently trying from Lauder and once again I am really enjoying the product.

It is very new to my collection, but I already know that I like the immediate effects of it.

The scent is very similar to that of the Advanced Blemish serum, but this one is not as creamy and really mattifies the skin. It leaves the skin feeling ultra smooth.

Makeup applies really effortlessly and evenly over top - no dragging or streaking. Pores and texture appear minimized and it definitely controls oil production.

I am yet to see if it will reduce the size of my pores permanently as it does claim to be a treatment serum that does just that.

It is pretty pricey, but 1 pump is enough to cover your entire face and neck area. I am really enjoying it and I do recommend it.

07/02/2018 UPDATE: Sadly I have not noticed much change in my pore size, but I am happy to report that I still love this product regardless. I love the feel and the effect it has on my makeup application as well as the oil controlling benefits!

I am in love with this product. If asked me which product from Estee Lauder I would buy a life time supply off, it definitely has to be this one.

I use to use this product on top of my foundation, but I noticed that it would lift my foundation, SO... i decided to mix it into my foundation... AND IT WAS THE BEST THING I COULD HAVE EVER DONE!! I recommend you all try that. Just a small amount.

The price is a killer @ R 895 you really want to see a product deliver! And if does and then some! It requires simply a drop or two ! It gently exfoliates and softens leaving skin feeling soft silky and incredibly smoothe! Marks appear lightened within two weeks! Used under moisturiser and makeup it enhances the longevity of both! Bought in conjunction with any other product at a beauty fair with score you a toiletry bag with miniature treats! It's expensive but oh so worth it!

I apply the Estee Lauder serum before applying my moisturiser, it creates a silky feeling, which you can even feel on your fingers. After pregnancy i did get some pigmentation on my face, and with the help of this serum it is barely noticable anymore. I have to admit iv been lazy and have never applied it every single day, but i need to get my regime back in to order :) All in all great product, a bit pricey, but thank goodness i have a few more testers which i got in the gift packs when purchasing Estee Lauder products.

love love love and as with the advanced night repair that i also use, it is expensive but so worth every single cent. My skin is so much better and now i only use both products once a week because they are THAT good!!!!

This serum was launched last month and I've been using it for about 3-4 weeks as I received a sample at the Lauder counter. I've used serums that claim to reduce previous acne scarring, pigmentation, redness etc and by and large they worked but not as quickly as this serum. Within 1 week I saw a visible difference in a recent pimple scar on my chin.

Because it was a recent one, it was dark and very much noticeable. I applied this serum directly on this spot and it started to disappear within 1 week. I was so blown away by this product as it really delivers on its claims! In fact, they say you'll see a difference in 2 weeks.

I should have taken a pic before and after to upload as I'm not making this up, this serum really works and the other dark spots have also lightened. A 30ml retails for around R550 -R600 but you only use where is required, you don't need to apply this on your whole face. It comes with an applicator so there is no wastage, so this should last you a good few months. The Lauder consultant told me I must use a moisturiser with an SPF in for daytime when using this serum so bear that in mind.

I received a small sample of this at the Lauder counter and have been using it since Saturday. On application this serum makes your skin feel smooth and unbelievably silky, its truly unlike anything else I've used.

I don't have a huge problem with enlarged pores, its only a small area on my top cheek where there are some crater like pores that I'd like to refine. I suppose with long term use pore size might be able to get smaller but I didnt see any significant difference within a week.

I found that my moisturiser went on alot smoother with this serum underneath it and it helped control oil production throughout the day.

This is quite a pricey serum but well worth it and you don't use large amounts of it so it should last for a few months.

Even though it's pricey, I would get it again
