The downside was the application...The brush is too stiff, maybe its just me but I like a softer brush it seems to get to the tight corners of my eyes. But that wasn't actually too much of an issue. The problem lies in once it drys it becomes grainy and powdery. The tube is great for getting the last scrap of mascara out! The wand separates the lashes well and I get no clumping, even with two or three coats of mascara. I wouldn't say that the volume is that astounding, but it does look good.
