This is hands-down one of the best skin protector products and also a popular favorite among many beauty bloggers so what’s not to love about this eight hour cream that protects the skin from sunburns, dryness, temperatures and more? I always carry this with me when I’m traveling by airplane was it really helps to soothe the skin and keep it feeling fresh and hydrated

This is such a holy grail product for me I use it for a number of things such as cuts , burns and as a eye cream. It is pricey but it does last u a very long time

I am on my third tube, started using it on my chapped lips in winter and I have since used it in more ways than one.
It's a great cuticle cream

honestly i use this cream for anything and everything. i suffer from contact dermatitis so my hands tend to go dry, itchy and flaky at times.this has helped it so much,its not as bad as it used to be.
amazing as a lip moisturizer (i usually put it on at night)

Amazing product, this is slightly thicker than the original Eight Hour Cream, and even more moisturising. It has the signature fragrance, and is definitely a hit for me! Soothing and moisturising, and it definitely does protect my lips. It doesn't have spf, but is still a favourite!

Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Skin Protectant is a complete miracle cream, I absolutely love it. This cream can be used for just about EVERYTHING.
I had a really bad, very uncomfortable writers callus which just wouldn't go away no matter what I tried, I decided to try the Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Protectant which I applied directly on the callus and then wrapped a plaster around the area of my finger, the next morning the callus was much softer so I repeated the procedure for a few more days and then filed the callus for just a few minutes and VOILA... the callus was completely gone and hasn't returned for months now.
I've also tried using it for chapped lips, insect bites, boils, rashes... you name it and it works like a bomb!!! I've tried it on burns caused by my GHD too.
And whilst it is really effective, it is not harsh it's gentle enough to be used on babies so I tried using it on my sons bottom for diaper rash and it helped clear it up. I now use it on any cuts or abrasions he gets as well as on his insect bites and sun burn patches he often gets on his shoulders.
It is however quite oily and hard to wash out of clothes so be careful not to get it on your clothes.
I think this product is a must have in every woman's hand bag and any family first aid kit!!!

This is my go to cream got an insect bite apply this cream, got chapped lips apply this cream. I use it for everything and its like the best. Its oily though and a bit sticky but I trust it because it works wonders. Love this product and I swear by it. And trust me you will also fall in love with this product.

I Love love this product, For years I have been using since 2005 while working for Elizabeth Arden, I mostly use it on my lips and it's also good for sun burn, skin irritations,cracked lips and so on. I used it on my children as well. I am very pleased with it and will continue using it as always. I also incorporate it to my night routine and will apply it on my face not always though and usually I just apply a small amount as it's very oily and will alternate it with my night cream. Got this tip from the customers of Arden while was working there. Till today I do that and it works well with my skin. so for me it's a Multi-Purpose product. I recently did a blog on my site "What's In My Bag ( Make Up Bag) and included it as this product i use it daily. It's a definate must have for everyone. Go get yours, You won't be sorry

Been using this product for just over a year and im smitten, the oily look it leaves on after applying is something im used to now, i just put my makeup on after applying it and since i have combination skin, it keeps my skin supple and moisturized all the time, especially during winter. I keep 1 tube in my handbag and 1 in my bathrooom, love this product and really cant remeber the last time i complined about zits.

No doubt a 5/5 on all factors. I've been using this product for close to 10 years now and cannot go a day without it. I rated the price so high because a tube lasts for such a long time so spending over R200 is nothing. I prefer to use the fragrance free on my face (eye area, nose, lips) and the original version for the rest of my body and hair.

This is absolutely the best! I used to have insane breakouts and just applying a dab of this, cleared it up within a night. It is exceptionally moisturizing and makes your skin appear clearer and brighter. The only problem that I sometimes had is the formula can be a little sticky, so be sure to tie your hair up and away from you face! (P.S this makes for a great lip balm!)

I love this stuff - I read about it many years ago in the cosmo and ive been using it since then , on my lips, and to tame my eyebrows, and even when I have dry skin on my arms, its a great product to have in your handbag - but the smell takes some getting used to :)

I was having endless problems with chapped lips for month last year when I finally decided I had had enough. I went out and got this and I was left in awe with how quickly and effectively it sorted my lip issues out.
I have to say though, the scent isn't great but for the absolute magic it works, I can deal with that. It has a number of wonderful uses including fixing up dry elbows and knees in winter. It also has a soothing effect that helps when your dry skin develops and itchy quality or your lips basically burn from chapping.
I love it now and I will forever. Yay Elizabeth Arden!

This hot little item deserves a golden award for its fabulousness!!! It's amazing in every way and has so many uses. It has magical powers that repair your skin for eight hours! I didnt like this! Felt it was thick like bostik with a big price tag n behaved on the skin like Vaseline making skin greasy and unable to breathe! I couldn't use it as a multipurpose product in the many ways it was described! It's far too expensive to use as a foot balm which is what i presently use it for under thick socks in the winter! Not a good buy for me at all!

Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream was a miracle product for me, i was on reaccutan which causes severe dry, cracked lips and in certain areas my skin was extremly dry. I had tried so many products to hydrate my lips and skin and nothing worked until my mom introduced me to Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream. The texture of the cream is very thick yet i was still willing to try it. Complete miracle, within a few days my lips had healed, no more dry areas. This product tends to hydrate and moisture even in the toughest circumstances. I always will continue to have a tube of this. Awesome product!

When I first sampled this some time back, I didn't like it. Please don't get me wrong, I am referring more to the texture than anything else... Because the formula is so thick, It made me feel sort of claustrophobic when I had it on my skin...
So when I received this, I just thought to myself, it has amazing reviews, i just need to get over myself and try it. The safest place and time to give it a go would be on my feet at bed time.
So I applied the 8 hour cream to my footsies, wrapped them up in my fav snuggle socks and off to sleep I went (In all honesty in the middle of the night I had numerous urges to take off my socks and wash my feet - i'm weird, i know hehe)
I can truly say that I am uber happy i stuck in there!! My feet were left amazingly soft to the touch, the dryness of my heels seemed like it was never there in the first place, and my skin looked beautiful and glowing!
I am now a convert... I'll try and give it a go on my hands, and I read on 1 review that it makes an awesome lip balm which I will try as well. Im really happy I tried this :)

I am in love with this Elizabeth Arden product. I bought this online at Red Square recently and this weekend I decided to give it a dry after my shower.
I squeezed a bit of it and literally a blob came out of the tube. It was a really think cream and I was pretty hesitant about using it after my shower.
With previous attempts at using thick cream after a shower, I learnt my lesson because it really does not absorb into your skin. It instead just lies there.
With this Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour body treatment Cream it was completely different. It absorbed really really quickly into my skin and the best part is that it did not leave my skin oily and greasy. I could actually put on a pair of jeans easily without having to fight with them LOL
The cream was thick, but once applied to your skin, it practically vanishes. I dont know what everyone below is talking about, because I actually enjoyed the scent of this. I'm going to just assume that they are talking about the skin protectant and not the cream. The scent is not really herbally, but more like a fruity scent I think. It is not overpowering at all and I quite like it. It is different from other body creams, but this different is a good different.
Rather pricey though, but worth every rand spent! I will continue to purchase once I run out.

I ahve recently rediscovered Elizabeth Arden's 8 Hour Cream and have to say I don't know why I stopped using it. My 2 year old son cuts teeth by getting a terrible rash that he scratches and then it scars. I have tried everything to help with the scarring and nothing helped. Then I thought if the 8 hour Cream helped me when I burnt myself then surely it will help with his scarring. So I committed to a 4 week challenge. Every morning and evening I would apply the crean to his legs. We are in week 4 now and there has been significant lightening of the scars and it helped with clearing the rash aswell. Elizabeth Arden an OLD favourite yet a NEW discovery

The first time i used 8 hour cream was in University. a friend offered me some in a worn tube to use on my lips her words "you will never look back". Indeed she was right, I too became a tube carrying girl leaving my stick lip balm for this versatile cream. I have driven around jo'burg to try and obtain the retro tin when it came out, they were all sold out just proof of how popular it is. I love this! For the size of this tube it is really worth it! I mainly use it on my lips, or on sunburn, or after laser hair removal. It is a true all rounder!

I can't do without it
Hi, I have been using my Eight Hour Cream for about 5 years. It is a bit pricey but worth every cent. All it takes is a little bit and it goes a long way. I use it for dry spots, esp on my lips (my husband loves it too). I use it on my hands for those especially dry hands days. I use on my feet at night, I put on socks and it works like a dream.

Moist not oily
I received a sample of this product a while back,my skin is oily,however gets a bit flaky in winter,this product is doing wonders for my skin,my skin is soft and moist,i am def getting the bigger tube,love it.

My boss had been telling me about the wonders of the Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream for months and I decided to take the plunge one day and buy it. I'm not sorry! At R165 for 50mls it is quite pricey but you literally need so little product if you're using it on your whole face even that the tube goes a long way. The wonders of this product is known far and wide so I thought I'd do a review on what I specifically had used it for.
Dry/Winter skin - I'm 29 this year. I've never before had to think about my skin like I do now. What I've taken forgranted before due to youth and good genes is now a thing of the past. For the first time ever I got Winter skin! All around my T-Zone and cheeks my skin was chapped and dry and flaky for about a week until I tried the 8 Hour Cream one night. I washed my face as normal and then applied the 8 Hour Cream liberally to my whole face. The next morning already there was a HUGE difference. Already most of the dryness and flakyness was almost gone! 3 more nights of doing this and my Winter skin was a thing of the past! Its now about 2 weeks since then and still my skin does not have that winter skin effect any longer.
Lips - I recently had a cold so I couldnt breathe out of my nose much and had to breathe out of my mouth which caused my lips to become very dry. Just a little bit of 8 Hour Cream once in the morning and once at night put paid to the dryness. My lips are soft and supple and crack-free.
Feet - My heels were cracked and my whole foot quite dried out but a little bit of 8 Hour Cream mixed with some Blue Seal Vaseline and even 2 weeks later my feet are not a bit dried out.
So in all the ELIZABETH ARDEN 8 HOUR CREAM SKIN PROTECTANT gets two thumbs up from me!

Oh wow! I just love this cream.....given to me by a dear friend because I needed something to put on my lips, since it felt so dry. And rather hesitant, after begging mind you, she agreed to give me just a dash. And was I hooked the moment it touched my lips. It wasn't greasy like all the other lip balms, not that this was a lip balm, but amazingly we discovered, we could use it for our lips too!! Not just for your body, like marks or scars.....by the way, it realy works!
It works faster/quicker than all the other creams I've used to help remove stretch marks/scars. Ever since I started using this Eight hour Cream, I no longer get cold sores, cracked or dry lips. My lips actually looks like its getting renewed....you know, almost better than the day before I started smoking.....all I can say is wow, wow, wow!!! ILll say it everyday!!! This really works and with quick results too.....I now use it for my whole family, from my kids to my husband, to my neighbours kid as well, lol!!! I cannot live without Elizabeth Arden Eight-hour skin protectant, it is one of those must have creams in a woman's bag. I've had mine for 2 years already, it keeps on giving. I am looking for an excuse to buy a new one, just for the new packaging :-)

Although the quality of Elizabeth Arden products are 10/10, personally I still prefer the old menthol version.
I would still recommend it to anyone that can afford it. Pricewise, the 50g tube is steep at R185.00

This is amazing for skin. It leaves skin soft and smooth and saves skin from the harsh winter. I love the way my skin feels after using this product. My skin feels like it has an amazing "lift" and feels so much more radiant and stronger.

Im not too happy about the price of this product, but the fact that I use it for my lips and as a night cream in winter for my dry T-bar, it laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaasts so Im not too put off. My brother likes this product for his lips too, I will go hunt a mini sample for him to keep in his pocket. A great product indeed!

I really do believe in this product! Been using it for a few years now. Personally, I dont like the Fragrance free one, I prefer the Fragranced one. But it last so long, and works like heaven on dry skin, lips etc!! One of my must have products!!!

I really adore this moisturiser even though it it so expensive. It has a waxy texture that can easily fight any dry skin condition on this planet. A little does go a long way and the bonus is that it is fragrance free so it is unlikely to cause any allergy.

Im so glad they have a fragrance free version! This is a must for dry winter skin or sunburnt summer skin. I think the amount you get for the price is totally worth it. Especially because it is thick and you dont need that much

I've always had Vaseline in my bag everywhere I go, this has now replaced my Vaseline. I love this lotion. On lips, hands, feet anywhere really its a great moisturiser. I got the fragrance-free tube, although there's still a little smell to it :) I dont really mind the smell.

Other than this product being a little pricey, it is worth every cent. I'm not sure if it really lasts for eight hours, but it does last long. It leaves your skin feeling hydrated and silky smooth without the oily feel that some creams have. Perfect for cracked and/ or dried skin, especially in winter. It does still have a bit of a scent to it, but it isn't unpleasant and it quickly wears off.

I have had the same tube of this for the last 5 years. I use it for everything, as a lip balm, around my nose when I get sick and blow my nose a lot, to tame flyaway hairs, on dry elbows, and sometimes as a cuticle cream too! It's a miracle cream and sometimes when my skin is looking a little dull I even rub a little between my hands and dab it on my face before putting my makeup on and my skin glows beautifully!
Very excited that they've brought out an unscented one though because the smell is quite strong, especially if you're not used to it.

This product is an absolute necessity! It is a multi purpose product for anything to do with skin. A little goes a long way and the colour of product is a clear pale orange my favourite usage for it is to apply it on my lips as it keeps lips soft while providing it with a glossy light tinted look which is not overglossy like most lipglosses but still provides a nice shine which is essential to make lips look fuller. The only thing I dislike is the scent is a bit too herbly but I have kind of gotten use to it

The temperature is dropping again and my skin tells me it's time to hook-up with my trusted freind again. I love the fact that you can use it on literally "EVERYTHING" and it is miracle-moisturising-cream-potion! Ladies, this is something that you afford to be without!
