For years I have been suffering from sinus. I am now using nasal spray especially when it's cold. I like perfumes, but every time I put it my sinus becomes worse I even stopped completely using them.

Please help a sister!!

Hi ..I think it's best not to use any perfumes if your sinus is bad because they can cause inflammation in your Nasal passages.

There are other alternatives though Consider the idea of using an essential oil instead of a perfume.A pure essential oil will not usually have additives or manmade chemicals attached to the fragrance.Again, know what you are allergic to and make sure you test the product before purchasing a bottle. In the end you may find that the healing qualities of some essential oils are beneficial to your body. That's not something you could really say about most perfumes .
Don't apply perfume to the body.Instead, apply the perfume to a cloth handkerchief and carry it in your purse or your pocket.Try spraying a scarf that you enjoy wearing around the waist or draped across the shoulders. If you want to wear the scarf around your neck make sure you spray the tips or an area that does not contact the skin.Once you begin to apply fragrance to clothing the scent will linger and become part of your wardrobe without you needing to apply it every time you dress.WARNING:Applying perfumes to fabric can sometimes stain the fabric so test this process and choose your articles of clothing carefully or you could ruin a garment that you love or paid a lot of money for .
Understand your allergies.Educate yourself and you may be able to make changes to your diet and habits that can alter your body's reactions to fragrance.Just because you have an allergic reaction to perfumes does not mean your personal scent has to disappear. It may just need a little adjustment.

Hope this helps

Perfumes like DKNY APPLE, GUCCI RUSH & ISSEY MIYAKE are to be avoided.
Gucci flora, Gucci guilty, Celebrity by Avon & Trisselle by avon they are light but try oils as Mia has advised because most perfumes are full of alcohol.

I understand your dilemma!!! I also suffer from sinusitis, although I love perfume I have avoided wearing it most of the time.
I use body sprits because they are much lighter that perfume but still give you some fragrance without irritating your sinus.
There are perfumes that are light, I suggest you go into a store...try the testers ( one at a time) and leave it on for the day...that way you will avoid buying something you might end up not using.
