How to avoid too much heat damage

I have lots of hair and I would get tired from blowing drying my hair after washing it and I would notice how damaged my hair and scalp would be from the heat so I knew i had to change my routine especially because my hair is relaxed. I did research on how to reduce heat on hair and found out wrapping your hair is the best solution.

I googled wrapping products and i came across the ORS olive oil wrap/set mousse and I went straight to Clicks to buy it. It was very pricey (R100) but I wanted to try somethiing different. I did my regular wash and deep conditioning and applied the wrap mousse and put on my satin scarf I got from Dischem. Went to bed and woke up the next day with the most shiny and healthy looking hair I've ever had it looked like I had come out the salon. I didn't have to blow dry my hair which was the best thing ever. I started wrapping my since February 2014 and I'm stil doing it today.

My scalp is better and my hair doesn't have any heat damage. My hair also stopped shedding as well. It was the best decision ever. I suggest this tip to all the girls who either have relaxed or natural hair

I dont have ethnic hair but my hair is curly and frizzy and i need to blow dry it every second day, i have heard that wrapping does wonders for your hair, i personally just feel silly doing it haha, but i think i need to start doing it to keep my hair in the best condition.

You should definitely try it. I've seen girls on youtube who don't have ethnic hair wrapping their hair and it also does wonders. Let me know how it goes:)

This is so interesting! I hate the fact that I have to dry my hair after washing it, and I was my hair once every week or two. So that is such a GREAT alternative to putting heat on hair which often makes it break. I need to try this out.

    Very helpful! thanks!
