Wishlist - Chantecaille Glacier Eye Trio

Wishlist - Chantecaille Glacier Eye Trio

While browsing new makeup trends last week, I came across the new limited edition eyeshadow palette from Chantecaille and instantly knew it was the item I wanted to feature on this weeks wishlist for numerous reasons.

Firstly the colours of the eyeshadow palette are to die for. From the Spring 2015 Collection the Glacier Eye Shade Trio houses colours that symbolise ice and earth:

  • Polar Light - Light taupe with matte finish
  • Iceberg - Icy white shade with light reflecting gold pearl
  • Arctic Dusk - Warm lilac gray

Each arctic-inspired shade is embossed with a melting glacier to represent global warming’s effect on our rising sea levels. The Iceberg shade contains extracts of Brown Seaweed that boosts the eyelid’s elasticity, firmness and suppleness.  The pans are refillable so the casing can be used for whichever shades you choose to purchase. The formula is described as 'micronized pigments that boost color pureness and formula adherence while a natural spherical polymer creates an effortless application for a smooth, even finish'. Sounds velvety, doesn't it?

The Chantecaille legacy is a brand whose 'goal is to set a standard in the world of cosmetics while spreading awareness on global issues'. Some of these causes include the endangerment of certain animals and species such as elephants, tigers, dolphins and coral reefs to name a few. None of Chantecaille products are tested on animals. All skincare products are free of synthetic colors and fragrances, and do not contain any sulfate detergents, phthalates, nor petrochemicals.

Proceeds from the sales are donated towards each philanthropic endeavor and you are even able to adopt an elephant or ban shark finning and ivory hunting from their website to join in and support the cause.

Chantecaille products can be bought from Chantecaille stores in the States or from Nordstrom if you are elsewhere in the world. It currently retails at R875 ($75) but that excludes taxes and customs duties and that is the only reason I haven't snatched up this palette yet.
I would be happy to own any of the Chantecaille palettes as the designs are amazing yet you are contributing to a good cause and with the refillable pans you can keep the gorgeous iceberg/glacier casing forever. To check out their entire collection click here and to view the amazing selection of philanthropic causes they support click here.Do you own any Chantecaille products? What do you think of the collection?
