to Clarins or not to Clarins

Clarins?

I'm a bit of a sceptic when it comes to beauty products. I have tried the less expensive versions (Maybelline, L'Oreal, Almay) and I've tried the more upmarket versions (Estee Lauder, Lancome, Elizabeth Arden, Bobbi Brown) but to jump to another brand is somewhat daunting. I have tried Decleor and a South African brand whose name totally escapes me at the moment. I am trying to get away from products with chemicals. So, someone recommended the VERY pricey Clarins.

On a whim, I decided to go check it out at a local department store. The lady happily assisted and and actually shocked the living daylights out of me when she proceeded to give me small samples of the entire range I would use!!! What?! This never happens... I drove home quite excited to try the new products and it was a boat load of products. I had a cleanser, toner, day oil and moisturizer, night oil/treatment and moisturizer and I was given 2 different cleansers to try. She made a claim that after I used the Blue Orchid Oil over my moisturizer the first night, my skin would be as soft as a baby's bum. Sure.....not biting.....

Lo and behold, the next morning, my skin was as soft as a baby's skin. Hmmm... What would my results be with the day moisturizer? I needed a day moisturizer and that was the real reason I went to Clarins. All their products are natural and I like that idea. Two days of using the products, I could see a huge difference. The dehydrated skin was gone! My skin had a softness and suppleness that I don't normally have.

It made such a difference that I actually bough the Extra-Firming Day moisturizer. I've been using it now for a week and I love the results. I have hydrated skin that is happy! My skin is soft and doesn't look like leather. No, I'm not like a jillion years old....BUT fifty is looking mighty "young" these days....  I am going to slowly build my products to the Clarins range. I don't believe in buying everything and putting myself into a huge debt. As my other products run out, I will then replace it with one from Clarins. What can I say? I'm a "believer"....
