Many age related skincare issues like dark spots and wrinkles are the thanks to sun exposure. However, the sun is very important to stave off SAD syndrome and in the production of Vitamin D so completely staying out of the sun is not an option for me. From a young age I have used sunscreen, a hat and good sunglasses (ones eyes are also damaged by direct sun) whenever planning on spending time in the sun. In the South African summer heat the body sweats to cool down. It is very important to replenish any lost moisture. I try to drink lots of water, though it's not my favourite so I substitute rooibos tea and diluted fruit juice or cordials to make sure I consume enough non-diuretic fluids. Last but not least a good full body moisturising routine after my daily shower keeps my skin supple and hydrated.
