Rimmel Fix and Protect Primer SPF 25: Yay or Nay?

Us girls can never seem to find the right primer, we are always on the lookout for the perfect primer to minimise pores and the general look of our face before applying makeup.

Where to find it: Clicks, DisChem (South Africa) or any drugstore.

Price: R100.00 or $8.00

I bought this primer along with my Rimmel Stay Fast foundation. The next day I put the new primer to the test. I washed my face, applied moisturizer containing SPF and then applied the primer.

You only need about as much as half a teaspoon to cover your whole face and it smells amazing. The primer looks great on your skin, it has somewhat of a pearly shine which leaves your face looking radiant. As soon as it dried I applied my foundation. The foundation applied smoothly over the primer and it looked even.

Personally, I loved it. The only negative aspect I could identify was the way my skin felt after applying the foundation and throughout the rest of the day, my face felt somewhat sticky due to the primer, not smooth and soft. But the foundation didn't transfer more or less than normal, it only gave a more flawless, even finish.

I would rate this product 6/10.
