My skincare journey

Hi lovelies. To start this post I would like to introduce myself, my name is Azraa and I am a start up fashion and beauty blogger. I recently joined this site and have had nothing but a good experience thus far.

The reason I chose to share this story is because i suffered with acne for a good 5-6 years. I was depressed most of the time and hated looking in the mirror. My self esteem was at an all time low. I chose not to wear makeup within these years because I was scared of aggravating the acne. Terrible decision because not only did I feel bad, I looked bad too. I went through new products every few months trying to find what best suited my skin. I went on a course of Roaccutane and just ended up with dry skin and dehydration. I was told 'you're a teenager, wait till you're 16, it happens to all of us'. I turned 18 and then 19 and still nothing. Everyone around me who had the same problem were now acne free. At this point I felt completely hopeless. Yes the teenage acne had reduced and I did not look completely ridiculous but the acne had not gone away completely. I then started doing MORE research, as i realized this was not a puberty phase and found that spending extra money on beauty products went a long way. I initially purchased Bioderma and while that did help my skin I was not completely satisfied. I changed over to Eucerin cleansing milk and seriously, my skin has never felt this good. I have been using it for a good 2 years and I am finally acne free!I paired it with the Eucerin moisturiser for dry to combination skin I never thought I would get to say this but here i am. I pair the cleansing milk with a Rose Water Toner from Dischem. This product works great on my skin because it is herbal and gentle. Great for removing excess dirt.

My adivise to you is that if you're suffering with acne, don't lose hope. Invest in a high end product it goes a long way for your skin.

I hope you guys found this helpful
