My Scandalous Love Affair with John Frieda: Part 2 - The Courtship

My Scandalous Love Affair with John Frieda: Part 2 - The Courtship

All about John Frieda : Full Repair

When I removed the goodies from my parcel, I could not help but be flooded with gratitude. I thought to myself, this is what I need right now. My hair was literally begging for help and I had no idea what to use in order to convert my 'Muis Neste' into the sleek beautiful tresses that I so longed for.

In a nutshell, this revolutionary range of products from John Frieda contains a hydrating formula with Inca Inchi Oil rich in omega-3, which rescues hair from the look and feel of damage as it nourishes strands with lightweight moisture to restore softness and shine.

Too good to be true? Well, I put it to the test and this is my experience from start to finish...

So this is me, as from my previous entry I gave you a pretty detailed description of all the horrid stuff I have put my hair through over the years. As you can see from above, this is what I am left with, dry, severely damaged, split ends galore and hard to style hair.

Until I met my Hero, in all it's shiny red glory...

The trio I received consists of : Full Repair Shampoo 250ml, Full Repair Conditioner 250ml and Full Repair Deep Conditioner 150ml.

First Impressions: I love the packaging! It's the perfect shade of eye catching red and gives off the sense of a good quality high end product. The tubes are extremely functional making for easy dispensation of product, even when my hands were all slippery and wet. The Full Repair Deep Conditioner comes in a really elegant tub, which I also find to be straight to the point and user friendly (Be careful though, the consistency is a bit thinner than what you would expect for a treatment, so pay attention to what you are doing as things could get messy)

I started of by wetting my hair and then applying a palm sized amount of the Full Repair Shampoo. The first thing i noticed was the fragrance. It's amazing to say the very least, it has a sort of fruity/floral fragrance, I definitely can not compare it to anything I have ever smelt. It definitely acted as a mood enhancer to me - I know this sounds weird, but The fragrance alone put me in a good mood! Next was the color, It's sort of like a sheer milky/shimmery color which is really pretty. The shampoo lathers up really well, a little goes a long way so be careful not to over do it! It rinsed out fairly easy, leaving my hair soft and more manageable than any other shampoo I have ever used. It felt as if I did not even have to apply conditioner!

Next I moved on to applying the Full repair conditioner.

Yet again, the fragrance is amazing! I applied a palm sized amount of this creamily textured conditioner to my wet hair and worked through from root to tip. My hair was instantly transformed into baby soft, super manageable tresses.  I then finger combed my hair and gave myself a lovely head massage for 5 minutes allowing the goodness of this Omega-3 rich formula to really soak in. It has to be said that this is the first conditioner that I have encountered that rinses out quickly, efficiently and with no need for any elbow grease on my part (Usually i spend a good 15 minutes trying to rinse the 'soapy' feeling out of my hair and I hate it!).

A note : The Full Repair Deep Conditioner rinses out just as easily, but I feel that even though it is meant to be light weight, it left my hair just a tad bit greasy..

A picture is worth a thousand words, so here are a few visuals of what came next. (For double sided pics - before pics are left, after pics are right)

After rinsing and a towel dry, Baby soft hair, I love it!:

After a rough dry with my hair dryer. The pic on the left is before using John Frieda, The pic on the right is after using John Frieda. There was a HUGE improvement in the appearance and texture of my hair. It reduced the amount of frizz, cutting my styling time by half, already at this stage, my hair was super glossy!!!!

My Conclusion:

John Frieda delivers on all it's promises. It's as simple as that. The proof of my experience is in my pictures. I would recommend this product to anyone and everyone that has dry damaged hair and needs an instant fixer upper. I am thrilled with the results, so thank you one again to BB and John Frieda for allowing me to review this amazing range! Stay tuned for part 3, My Scandalous Love Affair with John Frieda: The Conclusion.

Love, Life and Happiness,

Nicole
