I had pretty much given up on using foundation as no matter what type I try it always seems to end up looking cakey and accentuating my pores, but then I came across Smashbox Photo Finish Primers. The Smashbox claim that their primers fill in fine lines and pores to create a smooth blank slate to apply your make up with each variant also targeting a specific concern. I opted for the hydrating primer as my skin has suffered from dehydration over the winter months.
Smashbox Photo Finish Hydrating Primer is a cool, blue gel that is easily absorbed leaving the skin feeling smooth without a sticky residue. You only need a pea size amount as it goes on silky and a little goes a long way. Once on you have a fresh, clean canvas for foundation to go on smoothly. The foundation did not look cakey at all, my pores did not resemble craters and I didn’t notice any dry patches. I was still happy with the way the make up looked when I took it off in the evening. All the boxes were ticked.
Smashbox Photo Finish Hydrating Primer is my total lust have product.
