My 10's - absolute musts

My 10's - absolute musts

Normal 0 false false false EN-ZA X-NONE X-NONE

If you’re in your 20s you absolutely have to know about these products. I have recently discovered the power of 5 gorgeous beauty products. The Nesle Albany is just something I really cannot live without.

The Body Shop - Rainforest Coconut hair oil (R90)

I have highlighted hair and it gets really dry. The cherry on top of this particularly dry cake is that I don’t have or have never used hair products – wash and go – that’s my motto. And what it’s gotten me thus far is frizz and split ends. That was until I was convinced by my colleague to use hair oil. I went off to the Body Shop and wouldn’t you know it? They’ve got hair oil! In short – I love it – my hair feels better than it has felt since the highlighting began. The only thing I would do about it is to dummy proof it. There were no instructions on the bottle so I have no idea if I’m using it correctly. And if there are instructions on it then it’s not in English. But for quality and greenie points I will give it 10 out of 10.

Sally Hansen Firming Hand Crème (R80 to R90 at Clicks)

I’m not a big believer of hand lotion – mostly because my hands feel all greasy and I end up smearing it over everything else like my keyboard and cups. But Sally has won me over! I am, simply put, in love. The tube says “hands look up to 10 years younger in 4 weeks” – my hands look like those of a teenager again. The added bonus – my nails are stronger too. This one gets 10 out of 10 from me because the smell of citrus envelopes you and the texture is so rich and creamy that you never want to stop rubbing your hands together!

Hey Gorgeous Vitamin C serum (R195 – This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. )

I have never used a serum in my life but I’ve been told by the master mind behind Hey Gorgeous herself “Take heed young lady! You should be taking precautionary measures to look after that skin of yours” and so I did… What am I gonna say? NO? If Tiger Woods offers you golfing lessons – you say yes! I haven’t turned back once! My skin feels great and looks radiant. People compliment me on my amazing looking skin and want to know what my secret is. Well ladies – it’s not a secret anymore – it’s my Vitamin C serum from Hey Gorgeous. This is a 10 in my books because the ingredients are: Ascorbic Acid, distilled water and Glycerine and as you know, Glycerine is very good for your skin.

Hey Gorgeous – Rose Petal Bath Milk (R110 for 250g – This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. )

I’ve dubbed Mondays “Hey Gorgeous Rose Petal Bath Milk Mondays” because only this bath milk gets me excited for Mondays. It is made up of bicarb of soda, essential oils and some other super awesome stuff that makes your bath water feel like silk – not to mention your skin feels amazing when get out of the steaming hot tub. I’m so obsessed with my Hey Gorgeous goodies that when my boyfriend asked me once if he could use some of my bath salts he received a blank stare from me. I was speechless… how dare he even ask me such a question? His reply? “Ag Ok never mind!” lol! This beaut gets 10 out of 10 from me because there are real rose petals in there and it smells great, it makes your skin feel smooth and it makes you feel ready for the week ahead.

Paticia Clarke – Swiss formulation Anti-Cellulite Body Contouring firming gel (R485 – Skin Renewal clinics)

I’ve mentioned in one of my other posts - that I use Patricia Clarke’s cellulite gel – it really works – I’ve seen amazing results with this gel. Just remember that there aren’t any overnight cures for cellulite and it takes real dedication and hard work to get rid of cellulite. I like to use my derma roller with this gel and then I wrap my legs in cling wrap for about an hour. I’ve slept with it once – very uncomfortable and itchy but wow – was it moisturized and smooth? YES IT WAS! This gel gets 10 out of 10 from me because it smells great and it works really well.
