Masking to Summer

Masking to Summer

It's that time of the year, were nothing beats that bright glowing skin. What better way to do that than masking and peeling of that dead winter flaky skin. So I tried a few masks to test how they would work on my ever so problematic skin.

Firstly I tried the Freedman Beauty mask (cucumber peel-off mask).

This mask is absolutely refreshing on the skin. In a few steps, you simply clean your face, then apply the mask. It comes in a thick, sticky, clear liquid form. Apply this all over your face and wait for 15-20 minutes until the mask is completely dry on your face. Trust me you'll feel like you have a bag of concrete plastered all over. Then you gently remove the mask from either your jawline or forehead, peeling the mask off. This literally peels of all that dead skin and leaves your face feeling lighter and smoother. You can purchase this from your nearest Dis-chem Pharmacy and it retails for only R27.95. These masks come in different forms and are also available in full size tubes (150ml). Just watch that dead skin Disappear.

Next I tried the Sorbet Mask (went and purchased a couple). I started with the Smoothing Serum Mask – Brightening. The beauty about this little gem is that it's a mask and also comes with a face serum. Simply wash your face and pat dry, then apply the serum all over your face and gently massage into your face for about 2 minutes. After massaging the serum on, simple remove the mask from the package and put it on your face – don't worry the eyes, nose and mouth pieces have already being cut out for you. Simply just pat it onto your face. I left this on for a good 20 minutes and removed the mask. The feeling is absolutely amazing and mind you I didn't even wear make-up for the rest of that day as it truly gives that glowing effect.

The Sorbet Masks come in their different uses – smoothing, hydrating, cleansing etc. The 1 step masks (just the mask) retails for R46 and the 2 step masks (serum and mask) retail for R57. I would recommend you try these out and see / feel for yourself as its worth every penny.
