Inglot's pure orange!

Inglot's pure orange!

My recent adventures with bright shades of lippies have been a real trip!

I’m a nude/pink lipstick kind of girl, but I decided that it was time to add a pop of colour to my life of neutrals. Red, pink, violet and orange have been taking over my life . . . making me feel younger, fresher and fierce . . . yes, all that from a tube of wax!

So while at the Inglot store recently, I did pick up a pure orange lipstick and to try out the formula. I picked up the shade I did because the MUA at the counter was wearing this shade and her lippie was game, set, match!

I got the shade 268 and it’s a regular lipstick.

I did a double take when I saw the colour in the tube. It looked as orange as oxidized foundation with a bit of neon thrown into the mix! Never the less I bought it and tried it out at home.

The Inglot lipstick in shade 268 is both bold, and beautiful. It’s loaded with hydrating ingredients like vitamin E and apricot kernel oil for flake-free lips. When applied straight from the tube with no lip prep or lip liner, it glides on the lips.

It feels a bit waxy on first application, but that’s a good thing in a way because it’s less likely to bleed or feather so you can skip lip liner with this guy because it will stay put.

After about 30 seconds of that waxiness feeling goes away. On my lips it wasn’t as bright as in the tube, it’s slightly muted (I have a bit happy about that). If you do have pigmented lips like mine, this is something to bear in mind when buying this. It is opaque but covered my pigmented lips about 90% on first application. With one more swipe, covered my lips completely.

It is transferable, a lot more than other lipsticks so you will have to re-apply your lipstick and because it transfers it does fade. When used with a lip liner, I used MAC’s Lasting Sensation, it did last a bit longer and my lips looked more defined of course. It does have a gloss to it, which is great.

It comes in a black case with just ‘INGLOT’ written on the tube. It’s pretty basic and simple.

This is a colour that will suit all skin tones because it’s not too warm or cool.

If you have dry or flaky lips it will settle into fine lines and cracks so exfoliate and moisturize those lips.

Overall, it’s a decent lipstick. I’m not wowed by the formula because one needs to re-apply this because it transfers so much.

Have you tried Inglot's lipsticks before? How do you feel about wearing orange lippies?
