Homemade Mixing Medium for Eyeshadow

If you're anything like me, you spend most of your life either on Pinterest, or trying out all the awesome things that you see on Pinterest. Also, if you're anything like me, you are mostly disappointed with the results!

I have, however, found something that has changed my beauty life! I tell everyone about this, and now I am sharing my secret with you!

I am somewhat of a "budget beauty babe" and have always had issues with the cheaper eye shadows not being vibrant in colour and having no staying power. That is, until now. I have discovered how to make a mixing medium for eye shadow that is both super cheap, and super effective! All you need is mix one part glycerin to three parts water. Simple! Take note though that the mixture will only last two weeks as there are no preservatives.

I usually mix 2ml glycerine with 6ml water and that lasts me the two week period. I use an empty hand sanitizer bottle as the mixture comes out drop by drop, and I use a syringe to fill as it is much easier than using measuring spoons!

Once mixed, all I do is put a drop of the mixing medium on the back of my hand, dip my eye shadow brush in it, then into my eye shadow and apply to my eye. Not only does it make the insipid eye shadow vibrant, but it also makes it last all day, and even into the night!

This is definitely worth a try, trust me - you will thank me later!
