Freeman Beauty Pink Grapefruit Facial Scrub

Freeman Beauty Pink Grapefruit Facial Scrub

I know that it is a week later but hey, welcome to a new month.

April is always pretty special to me because of my birthday – which I am currently running a giveaway for here – and because I always seem to have the most productive time this year around.

Now back to why we are all here – the product for the month of April!

I knew when I wanted to do this series I would expand my horizons.

In other words, this series, including my blog, will be about so much more than simply makeup.

Although makeup remains my passion, I do have other interests that I would love to share with you.

My content is after all an extension of who I am.

For this instalment, we will be breaking down the crucks of one of my favourite skincare additions – the Freeman Beauty Exfoliating Pink Grapefruit Facial Scrub.

First things first, this is what Freeman has down on their website.

"This gentle scrub with Pink Grapefruit bursts onto skin and eliminates dullness. Massage over face and neck for a revitalizing, deep-cleaning exfoliation that promotes healthy cell renewal.

Perfect for all skin types.

Instantly polishes + clears pores for renewed skin"

Ingredients include:

Water, Glycerin, Citrus Grandis Fruit Extract, Propylene Glycol, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Cocos Nucifera Oil, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis Flower Extract, Citrus Medica Limonum Extract, Euterpe Oleracea Fruit Extract, Myrciaria Dubia Fruit Extract, Bixa Orellana Seed Extract, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Tetrasodium EDTA, Sorbitol, Carbomer, Sodium Hydroxide, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone, Pumice, Polylactic Acid, Fragrance, Red 40, Yellow 6, Benzyl Benzoate, d-Limonene

My avid acne prone and sensitive skin can make it a little challenging to effortlessly experiment in the skin care department – particularly with masks and scrubs.

Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised.

First impressions in the store – I was initially drawn to the bright packaging.

Once I has opened the cap, the smell had me reeling all the way to till – it smells of a true grapefruit unlike most sickly sweet artificial scents thatsome products may have. For example the articial cherry scent, wow.

Back on topic.

The beads of an exfoliator can truly make or break it for me.

Too small and the product can prove to become null and void.

Too hard and you could damage your skin – especially my sensitive skin.

The exfoliating beads are so fine, the perfect size really to get into my pore and give the skin an overall gentle exfoliant.

When massaging it on the skin you wouldn't think that it was doing anything – personally that's I thought on the first go.

But after washing and dabbing my down with some warm water and a gentle face cloth, I was impressed.

There is no other way to put it.

I have not had any sort of bad reaction, breakouts or any additional micro scaring of the sort with the product.

That being said I have used it around half a dozen times since.

I do focus the product with my fingertips particularly over my nose because that remains to be my most textured area due to white and black heads.

I am quite pleased with the handful amount of products that I have tried and tested from Freeman Beauty.

Time to dabble a little further.

Have you tried any of their products?
