{First Impressions} Glampalm Magic Wand

Last year Glampalm sent me one of their hair straighteners and I have to say it honestly changed my life, to a point where I actually sold the GHD I had been using for a few months (you can read that review here). Glampalm has once again sent me one of their products and this time it's their Magic Series Curling Wand. Here are my first impressions on the Glampalm Magic Wand…

I have been wanting to get my hands on a great curling wand for some time now! I bought two cheap curling wands and I have been so disappointed with the quality and the poor curls they created. I have been dying to get those lushes wavy curls I see on everyone and I am not ashamed to say I have been so jealous that I could create them.

First of all how gorgeous doesn't this curling wand look? The barrel reminds me so much of the Nume hair curlers I read about in the US, which we can't find here in South Africa. This hair tool exudes sophistication, and it has a similar LED heat setting that can be found on their hair straighteners as well.

Glampalm says " these are perfect for creating loose curls without compromising your length. It consists of a healing stone and alumina powder for shine and hold, it also has no clips which makes it easier to style. It also has an LED display indicator to change the heat settings to suit your personal needs."

All hail Glampalm, this curling wand does not disappoint! Especially with me having high hopes from the previous Glamplam hair styler I have used. The heat indicator makes it so easy to choose the heat setting I want. The wand heats up really fast I would say about 10 seconds, so I don't have to waste name making sure it's heated properly before starting with creating my curls, means I save time getting ready. I also found that because it doesn't have any clips I do not get my hair stuck in anything, I have a cheap wand that has a clip and I have to say my hair gets caught up on it so many times it hurts! To curl is easy all you have to do is wrap a pieces of hair around the barrel and hold for a few seconds and then release. Prone to burning your fingers like I am? Luckily Glampalm also hooks you up with a heat resistant glove , to prevent any burning!

This wand is totally the money worth , they retail for R1799 on the Glampalm website , and lucky me I also have a R100 OFF discount code which you can use before you check out. This will make for a great Christmas gift and I definitely recommend it, it's changed my life ( yet again). Be sure to keep to check out a tutorial on how I curl my wand in the next few weeks.
