Chrysalis Global Facial treatment review

Chrysalis Global Facial treatment review

I received an invite from my very own faery godmother, Beauty Bulletin, to receive two Chrysalis Global Facial Treatments at the Gallagher Convention Centre. This also turned out to be Chrysalis' launch in Southern Africa.

Londi Ndebele was to be the beauty therapist to dazzle me with the wonders of 'the very latest innovation in mechanical palpate and poll massage technology'. She told me that the use of their DXTwin machine would sculpt, regenerate and stimulate my skin, leaving it looking younger, and to achieve such results, the DXTwin machine was:

  • To help open up my pores,
  • Get rid of any oil buildup and impurities in the pores that may lead to pimples,
  • Help regulate the secretion of sebum,
  • Lift, plump up and smooth my skin to minimise the visibility of lines and wrinkles, and
  • To encourage blood circulation for a healthier and better looking skin.

Londi cleansed my skin to prepare it for treatment and the products she used were gentle and contained natural ingredients such as green tea. Londi paid special attention to the areas of my face prone to black heads, she lifted and smoothed the expression lines on my forehead and around the mouth through the suction action of the DXTwin. The lines on my neck received an unexpected treat and this was a pleasant surprise as well as an education to me because when I think about my face and aging, my neck somehow does not come to mind. After all the suction, lifting and smoothing, my skin was flushed and tingly, and my fine lines looked filled in. As a last touch, Londi applied a serum to nourish my skin that left me glowing if not shiny.

The Chrysalis Global Facial Treatment is a non-invasive and the results can be seen immediately. My only concern is the price tag. Londi explained that for my skin to enjoy longer lasting results, I would require 12 treatments done at weekly intervals for the package price of R 7,700. I must say the price is steep without a doubt, but if the wallet can afford to pay it, then it's money well spent.
