Beauty Made Easy with Sassy Samy ZA

Hello Darlings!

My name is Samy and I'm going to share my beauty wows and woos with you.

Firstly I'd like to tell you that I'm a minimalist when it comes to daily make-up: I rarely go out without applying my mascara and lipstick. On a good day, and if time permits, I might jazz things up with eyeliner and/ or eye-shadow. I do go the 'full monty' when I'm attending an elite event such as a wedding or special date.

So, back to Beauty Made Easy (or BME) with me...

It's exactly one week since I've decided to up my game with regards to my personal skincare routine. I have a combination skin and used to just cleanse, tone, moisturize and apply eye cream in the mornings.

That all changed after last weeks incidental meeting with M, a Clarins consultant at a retail store. I was browsing around and asked her for advice for the dark circles under my eyes and for a miracle cream to make my large pores less noticeable.

M recommended two products: an eye cream and Clarins' Pore Minimizing Serum. The latter I've been using religiously every morning and every night since last week Wednesday. I also received a goodie bag because my purchase was rather expensive, over R1000, but M was generous and stuffed the vanity bag with an array of Clarins freebies which I'll be reviewing.

So basically what I've been doing since last Wednesday (pertaining my personal skincare 🙈), was cleanse with Clarins' One-Step Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser and tone with Nivea's Refreshing Toner. Afterwards I apply Nivea's Cellular Anti-Age cream and then M's advised minimizing pore serum. Lastly I moisturize with Clarins' Beauty Flash Balm.

M also advised me to first finish my current beauty ranges, which makes financial sense. She also told me that I may get a little skin breakout when switching over to new products. To date I've encountered literally two pimple intrusions- I normally only get a zit a day or two before my monthly cycle starts.

Thus far the skin under my eyes are a little bit lighter. Although my facial skin feels smoother the pores are (obviously) still there but they do seem a teeny tiny bit smaller.

That's all for now, I'll chat to you next Wednesday.
