Beauty Made Easy With Samy #4.1

Good afternoon Darlings ๐Ÿ˜˜

Thank you for coming back to read another Beauticious (yes I just invented that word!) post- I hope you enjoyed the debut one.

Like I stated last time we spoke, I told you that I'm literally a minimalist when it comes to my daily make-up and skincare routine: I cleanse, tone and then apply some "lotions and potions". Afterwards I just dash on some mascara and lip products then I'm all set for the day.

So, this week the focus will be on which products I have been using this week as well as which ones has made the biggest impression on me.

I've told you in the previous post that due to an incidental clashing in a retail store (I went to purchase a cell phone), I met an awesome Clarins consultant (slash Fairy) who literally changed my perception on skincare.

Since I'm in my early 30's I've realised that there is no better time to turn back the beauty clock than now. I've been doing my skincare routines religiously, day and night, for about two weeks now and I do see and feel a difference. My Fairy gave me a few samples to try out and I've been loving most of the items thus far: I have a combination skin and 'suffer' (or actually used to suffer), from big visible pores and dark and puffy eyes. It all changed due to my new and improved skincare routines.

Cleansers: For the past week I've cleansed with the following items. Remember all of these products were samples and thus smaller than travel size. My reviews vary from one to five lipsticks (๐Ÿ’„) where 5 is รผber amazing and 1 is bleh ๐Ÿ˜•.

  • Clarins Daily Energizer Cleansing Gel ๐Ÿ’„๐Ÿ’„๐Ÿ’„
  • Clarins One-Step Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser ๐Ÿ’„๐Ÿ’„๐Ÿ’„๐Ÿ’„๐Ÿ’„ (I LOVE this! Will definitely buy the full size product).
  • Clarins Pure Melt Cleansing Gel ๐Ÿ’„๐Ÿ’„ (I only started with this product this morning and truth be told I'm not that impressed with it- I like to see foam when I cleanse and thiz product doesn't feel like a cleanser, it's too oily...)

Toner: I'm still using my Nivea Refreshing Toner- nothing more to say, I'm OK with it.

Potions: I've finally finished (yay) my Nivea Cellular Anti-Age Eye cream. I've had it for almost three months but only applied it during my morning routines prior to meeting my fairy. I can't wait to start with my new eye care product: more info to follow about that in next week's post.

I'm still using the Clarins Pore Minimizing Serum and this potent potion gets a rating of ๐Ÿ’„๐Ÿ’„๐Ÿ’„. I do see a change in my pores' size and my skin feels and looks soft to the touch.

I also received the Clarins SOS Pure Rebalancing Clay Mask and used it twice- love LOve LOVE the way my skin feels after the application. This product deserves a rating of ๐Ÿ’„๐Ÿ’„๐Ÿ’„๐Ÿ’„.

Lotions: For the past two weeks I've moisturized with Clarins' Beauty Flash Balm and Clarins' Bright Plus Brightening Day Lotion. The latter product really does justify its name- my face has this illuminated glow and no, I am not pregnant by any chance! This product also gets a rating of ๐Ÿ’„๐Ÿ’„๐Ÿ’„๐Ÿ’„.

I follow the same regimen as in the morning with only one difference- instead of using a Clarins moisturizer, I'm using Garnier's Skin Active Even & Matt Ideal Complexion which I'm also trying to finish before I completely go the pure Clarins road.
