Avon Ultra Colour Lip Crayon

I received 3 Avon Ultra Colour Lip Crayons from Beauty Bulletin to review.  The 3 colours I received were Showstopper Pink, Notice Me Nude and Carefree Coral.  These lip crayons are formulated with Shea Butter and Vitamin E which create a rich creamy colour and liner in one which glide on smoothly and feels super comfortable.

The first thing that you will notice about the lip crayons is their packaging.  They arrive in a sleek black box, the crayons themselves are also in a sleek black tube with just the bottom twist cap part showing the colour of the crayon itself.  The next thing you notice is the scent, it is very subtle and fruity.  Once on the lips there is no taste at all which is great because who wants to be tasting liquorice or fruit every time they breath or lick their lips?  The product itself glides onto your lips like butter, the colour payoff is great and the staying power is awesome too.  Once on your lips it stays put for at least 2 – 3 hours.

Now onto the individual colours:

Showstopper Pink – As the name goes, you would expect a bright pink, and in reality, that’s exactly what you get.  It is a lovely shade of pink, and if applied lightly enough I can get away with it, so I can definitely see myself using this going forward.

Carefree Coral - Again, as the name states, this is a coral shade with a high shimmer to it.  This colour is my least favourite, I cant personally pull off any orangey shades and this one does not suit me at all.

Notice Me Nude – This one is my favourite.  As far as nudes go, I wouldn’t call this a nude in itself, there is a great colour to it and it looks very natural on me which I love.

As far as pricing goes, I honestly have no idea what Avon will be charging for these crayons going forward but I can imagine that they would be somewhere between R70 and R90, but don’t hold me to that.  These crayons come in a variety of colours (8 to be exact) and Avon promises that there will be a shade for every skin tone.  If I were to purchase any of these colours myself I would definitely look at Notice Me Nude.
