3 Minor Beauty Tweaks to Get Your Face in Top Shape

With summer right around the corner, it is time to get as beautiful as we can. And for the majority of cosmetic clinics and salons, these couple of months are already shaping up to be in their busiest self, since women are now considering various drastic options to get ready for the summer season.

And even though you might think that things such as breast augmentation, tummy tucks or liposuction are the most popular procedures, surprisingly, it is actually those smaller tweaks that make a huge difference to a person's appearance. However, it is not all about 'going under the knife' and eliminating every possible line on your face, but rather about improving the smaller areas to make yourself as gorgeous as you can possibly be.

These days, there are some great new tactics to restore the volume and rejuvenate your skin, as well as to reshape your facial features without any cutting and stitching. And without further ado, here is our tiny guide to the 3 small changes you can consider that both have instant results and make you look fabulous.

Chemical peel

If you haven't heard about a chemical peel, it is actually a professional procedure that uses chemical solutions such as trichloroacetic acid or alpha hydroxy acid to resurface your skin by removing damaged top layers of it. In other words, like the name says, this chemical solution peels away all of dead skin layers, and leaves you with a much younger-looking and healthier complexion.

However, there are many misconceptions about this treatment such as 'injured skin' etc. Whatever you may heard, note that this procedure is extremely common and favored by both dermatologists and estheticians due to its effectiveness and ease. Also, don't worry about that ridiculous myth that you'll be peeling for weeks.

The process itself takes about 20-25 minutes, and that's why chemical peel is also called "Lunchtime facial". The general procedure looks like this: your face is firstly thoroughly cleansed with a special kind of pre-peel cleanser, in order to lower your skin's pH level and allow a deeper penetration. Next, the chemical solution is applied with a brush or a cotton pad, and depending on the solution itself it is either left on your skin or wiped off. Finally, serum, moisturizer and SPF are applied and you are good to go.

At the end, you will end up with reduced fine lines and wrinkles, reduced redness and discoloration, increased collagen production, reduction of acne and overall improved skin texture and appearance.

Lip augmentation

As the name says, lip augmentation is a procedure that increases the size of your lips to make them fuller and sexier. There are permanent (botox) and temporary lip fillers such as hyaluronic acid ones, which are the most popular these days because this substance can actually be found in our skin.

The procedure itself is performed by giving a series of injections around and into the lip area. The needle is super thin so the pain level is minimal. The results can last from 3 to even 18 months.

Anyone is a good candidate for lip fillers, but note that going from super narrow lips to Angelina Jolie's lips will be pretty hard to achieve.

A fabulous forehead

Even though the top of our face often gets overlooked, note that the most beautiful faces take a good care about their forehead and temple areas. Did you notice how a wide and smooth forehead can somehow open up your face and actually make you look fresher and much younger?

By injecting just a little bit of botox or Poly-L-lactic acid, you will give a lift to your brows and smooth out all the fine lines, which will give the illusion of a much higher and wider forehead.

The results of botox will last up to six months, while the effects of Poly-L-Lactic acid will last up to two years (since this acid is rapidly absorbed, but stimulates collagen production and requires 3 to 5 treatments for a full result).

So what do you think? Will you try one of these? Which one is your favorite? Let us know in the comment section below.
