I use the shade "nourishing nude"which matches most skin tones perfectly and looks very natural and fresh. Its perfect for everyday wear and when you don't want to wear a lot of heavy make-up but still want to look polished. Only negative is that you have to reapply after food or drink (but that is common with most glosses). The new Avon lipstick in Pink Renewal and the lipgloss in Renewing Rose. The lipstick is quite moisturising which is great because after 10 weeks in Joburg my lips were practically falling off! It feels like a lip balm when you apply it and I absolutely love the colour! Perfect when you just want a hint of colour on your lips for those "little to no make up" days. The only problem I have with this lipstick is that it's not long-lasting at all. I had to re-apply it constantly. (Not ideal for someone who puts it on in the morning and then forgets about her lips for hours on end.) The lipgloss also isn't very long-lasting and has a slight sticky consistency. It glides on easy though and feels great on. Again, a very subtle colour which I love. I usex the 2 products together as well. A light coat of gloss over the lipstick made it last bit longer as well. I loved the fact that the lipstick glided on smoothly and didn't have that odd 'castor oil' smell and taste to it! The lipstick gives a lovely gloss to the lips and keeps the lips well moisturized. My lips were feeling quite dry, due to a heavy flu, and lots of antihistimines, with my lips peeling. I liked the fact that the lipstick did not enhance the flakiness of my lips and the best part is that unlike other lipsticks in darker shades, this one did NOT 'bleed', the only con,if I can even call it that, is that its not a lipstick you can apply and forget about, its not a long lasting lipstick and needs to be touched up regularly, especially after eating or drinking, the other plus, is that is removes easily without leaving a tint on the lips. I received the Ultra Glazewear Absolute Lipgloss SPF 15 in the "Heavenly Honey" colour. Not a colour I would have chosen for myself, as I would have found it abit too pale for my skin tone, However, am I glad I received this colour, as I love it. It is perfect to apply on its own for a really nice natural look, or over lipstick to add a glamourous shine to the lips. To start off I was totally impressed with the packaging of both the lipgloss and lipstick, they were both so sleek and elegant that i was impressed right away. I LOVED the way the lipstick felt while applying it, it was so smooth and glided on perfecly, better than some of my extremely expensive lipsticks had felt whilst applying. The colour Pink Renewal was an extremely light pink colour that had a bit of a milky look to it, almost like strawberry milkshake on my lips and I was wowed by the pigmentation. Even though it had no claims to be long lasting, it had lasted for a good few hours even after having a bite to eat which i found completely wonderful. The lip gloss amazed me as well. It was not sticky at all, a trait I usually hate on lip glosses and I was impressed by the colour on me. It was a nudey brown and I was extremely excited about it as i was looking for a colour like this. I liked it. i also liked that it's not too shiny (my lips are too thick for that) nor is it true matte (most matte lipsticks dry out my lips). when i got home, after drinking some juice from a bottle on the way, the lipstick had not budged and i was happy with it. The next morning i applied the lipstick again with gloss (blushing rose) over it. the combination looked great on me with a good sheen to it. i don't normally like wearing lipgloss because the stickiness annoys me, but this lipgloss is not sticky at all and gives a nice shine without looking juvenile. however I noticed during the day that my lips began chapping but i paid no mind to it. the day after, i wore the lipgloss on its own without lipstick underneath. it also glides on smoothly and still without any stickiness to it. it gave a nice tint to my lips, a bit of shine with a hint of pink, i quite liked it. however, by the end of the day my lips were chapped again and that i did NOT like. that is the only con to these two products: nice colours and long-lasting but my lips reacted badly to them and ended up chapped and peeling. i gave it a few days and tried both products again over several more days, wearing them together and separately. each time i did, my lips would be chapped and peeling by the end of the day, despite taking care to reapply and even if i applied my lipbalm underneath and over the lipstick if when i wasn't wearing the gloss. while i love the colours and the consistency, chapped lips are not a cute look and i've had to put both these products away, which made me sad because i quite liked the colours. ]]> Wed, 16 Apr 2014 11:25:38 +0000 https://www.beautybulletin.com/avon-ultra-glazewear-absolute-lipgloss-spf15/discussions/16639/ https://www.beautybulletin.com/avon-ultra-glazewear-absolute-lipgloss-spf15/discussions/16639/ I was really excited when I received the new Avon lippies. It was the best shade of pink and suited my skin tone the best. The lip gloss fits into any pocket so it is ideal to carry in your pocket if you do not want to carry any bags. As a student I do not want to keep digging in my bag looking for something for my lips so this fit right into my pocket. Brilliant! Easy to find! The lip gloss does not leave any sticky residue like most lip glosses. No need to use any base lip balm to because this lip gloss has all the moisture you need. The package is very cute. The Creamy Coral Lip Colour is my fave despite the love of darker shades, I love that I can wear this colour practically anywhere without it looking outstanding or out of place, it fits perfectly with my slightly fair skin tone and I love that it sticks to its colour tone, creamy. It has a luxurious and soft feel to it after applying, it doesn't taste bad either (since I'm ALWAYS licking my lips out of habit). What I loved the most though was the sheer effect it has, without any unwanted glitter, this lip colour was a pleasure to review and I find myself grabbing my Avon Ultra Glazewear every morning before leaving for work! Berry/Wine/Plum Lip colour, this shade was such a fun experiment to try out! I actually went out one night with my girlfriends and about a dozen girls stopped me to ask about the colour itself. As this chic and statement colour is now making the rounds in fashion circles, runways and editorial shoots,I wanted to get some the action too! It has a glamorous look and feel to it, the only downside was probably the fact that it smudged quite often, especially after having drinks with the girls, I found myself having to re-apply it every 40 minutes, so in my opinion the long lasting colour lacked in that regard. The lipstick was in Pure Orchid I put it on for the first time and I loved how moist it was on my dry lips kept my lips soft for about an hour and when I was re-applying I realised that the colour was still there. I loved that because the ordinary lipsticks tend to fade out leaving chipped, cracked pieces of colour on my lips. It also wasn't very heavy on my lips but made them look and feel bolder. The downside of it was having to re-apply constantly to keep the moist feeling there. But that definatly won't keep me away from trying out new colours and using it more often. And the smell just made me want to re- apply all the time. And the Absolute Ultra Glaze Wear lip gloss was my favourite wasn't too sticky I could put my lips together and separate them without feeling like I had some kind of glue on them. The colour faded quicker but I was happy cause the shine and moisture was still there and I didn't have to re-apply as much as I thought I would. It's exactly what I look for when I buy Lipgloss. My lips did not also feel sticky even after a second or third application. I liked the colour heavenly honey as it is nude glaze and works well when you want "overdress" your eyes which I love to do. If you looking for a lipgloss that will moisturize as you wear it and give you the added moisturize when reapplying I would definitely recommend this product. But if you are looking for a lipgloss that is going to give you intense colour and moisturize then I would not recommend, hence the name glazewear. Overall I liked the product as well as the packaging. It feels like the top is clicking when you open and close it, which is great for ladies on the move. The excitement i got when i received these 2 babies :-) i still get excited by looking at them. The packaging is for the lipstick is playful and bright, like the lip colour i got. The lipstick smell gorgeous and the colour pay off is okay. nothing to ground breaking or anything. but i still love the fuchsia for days when i feel full of life and it works well. my lips are well moisturized and left soft. For me the i go for the lipstick any day. For the price it is also worth buying. The lipgloss on the other hand is also great but i am not a lip gloss person although i love the predecessor in mauve movement and that lip gloss will save the nation one day. i actually have 3 and Mauve movement is my absolute favourite. most trusted actually. I love red lips but i did not really get best pay off from this lipgloss, but is works beautifully as a top coat to my deep red lipstick for when i go out. i also tried to make my own colour by combing the lipstick and the lipgloss and loved what came out and plan to wear it like that sometimes. Really light, which is a big plus for me, I don't like feeling coated in makeup - The colour. I know the product promises a huge colour payoff. Not true. But it's one of the things I liked. Maybe it's just the shade I got but I found the colour, while well pigmented, to be quite sheer. It's a great lippie for when you just have time for a quick swipe but still want it to look neat. Very ladylike. - The sheen. A lil shine but not obnoxious What I didn't like - The texture. It slid off my lips really quickly. would've loved more staying power - I found it quite drying. Right when you apply, it DOES feel nourishing but it soon deteriorates and starts feeling dry, and because the colour slips and fades so quickly adding balm is not the best idea Ultra Glazewear Absolute lipgloss What I loved The colour pay-off. It is claimed to have SPF15, my knowledge of such is little, but the truth about this lipgloss is that its amazing. I found that it has a neutral soft smell, so you don't feel the sensation to eat it or lick it from your lips. It matches any skin colour really, (my friend forced me to let her have test it, I therefore no more carry it at close proximity to her), I have a caramel, though Ethnic skin tone and it looks nice. It is sophisticated, simply by the way it is packaged "dip-stick" and when you apply, unless you have humongous lips, only have to use it once, I use it twice nonetheless...its soft. I hope that I mentioned that its not sticky on the lips so you do not have to worry about your hair getting stuck on your lips. This range is suitable for anyone really, because it doesn't scream at all. Tho downside is that you have to apply it frequently, but its okay, it is called "lipgloss" and not "lipstick". So for me that was a real plus. The colour I received was Natural Flush – for me this colour is perfect for those “look natural” days, and I wear it more often for day time wear than for night, I love the fact that it contains a sunscreen for this pure reason. The lipsticks contain no stain therefore the colour does fade within a few hours or after eating or drinking, but the product claims to continue to condition lips which is a real bonus. This lipgloss is a wonderful addition to my makeup collection. I received the Peach colour and it's a very soft colour, with a nice shine. It lasts a relatively decent amount of time and doesn't come off easily even if I gently lick my lips. The smell is nice but not strong at all. I will wear this one when I apply heavy eye makeup to even things out. In all honesty I wouldn't spend R99 on the peach one again, but I would really like to try the radiant red one, my skin is a bit light for light colours to look amazing on me. Although the products are high quality, and real value for money, they're a pain to get hold of. I am lucky enough to have a representative living on my doorstep, but even so, it is still incredibly frustrating to have to wait two weeks for my order to arrive. I remember anxiously ticking off the days when I made my first purchase of Avon's Glow Bronzing Pearls. Isn't it far more convenient to be able to walk into a store and buy your goodies immediately? Well, now you can! Maybe some of you already know this, but it came as a shock to me: There are three Avon Beauty Centers, situated in Cape Town, Durban and Pretoria, where you can test all the products and make instant purchases! No more excuses, ladies! Now that this bit of exciting information has been shared, let's get to the good stuff. I received two products from the ladies at Beauty Bulletin. So firstly, a big thank you to everyone involved in the selection process. I am thrilled to have been a part of this trial team. I was sent a lipstick and a gloss from Avon. Both products were sealed in a black Avon wrapping, which made me really happy. I'd never purchased a lip product from Avon before, so I was very impressed with the packaging. It was assuring to know my lips would be the first to try out these gorgeous products. I tested Avon's Ultra Glazewear Absolute lip gloss in 'Nourishing Nude'. This was the first product I ripped open because I'd been dying to try out a nude lip gloss. The 6ml of precious liquid is housed in a classic lip gloss container with a wand for precise application and minimal wastage. Before applying the gloss, I made sure I had a smooth and flawless canvas by first applying some lip scrub in a gentle circular motion. Once my lips were prepped, I slicked some of the caramel-scented gloss onto them. The application is smooth and velvety. I only needed to dip my wand once to coat my lips, but it was impossible to resist applying more because the stuff smells like freshly-baked cookies! Throughout the day I found myself making weird faces, and trying to sniff my lips. The gloss is light, gives a beautiful shine without looking greasy, and only has to be reapplied if you're eating or drinking a lot. 'Nourishing Nude' is an extremely wearable shade, perfect for everyday. It can also be worn over lipstick to add some shine and scent (because who doesn't love kissing someone who smells like cookies?). The gloss left my lips hydrated and soft, and I did not feel the need to apply a balm after I removed it in the evenings. I feel that Avon's really made good on their promise of the Ultra Glazewear Absolute's ability to provide both colour and care for your lips. I did not need to apply anything else while wearing or even after I'd removed it. For at least two hours after wiping the gloss off, my lips remained soft, scented and 100% kissable. If you love the natural look, you can't go wrong with 'Nourishing Nude'. It provides a subtle colour, lovely fragrance, and SPF 15. Available in ten versatile shades, and currently going for R54.95 (regular price R109.95), there is absolutely no excuse for not trying the Ultra Glazewear Absolute. 'Nourishing Nude' is a little bakery in a bottle, and has fast become one of my favourites. Ultra Colour Absolute Lipstick: I tested Avon's Ultra Colour Absolute Lipstick in 'Lovely Fuchsia'. Being a fan of the nude look, I was quite taken aback by this bright lippy. As much as I love pink, it's not a colour I would easily wear on my lips. I wasn't sure if I could pull off such a striking colour, being the plain Jane that I am. But make-up is, after all, about self-exploration and adventure... so, I decided to give it a try. One of the aspects I loved most about this product, was its presentation. Avon's Ultra Colour Absolute is a chunky lipstick that feels like a quality product. It glides out smoothly to reveal a good length of solid colour, branded with the Avon logo, which I thought was a nice touch, a feature common amongst high-end lipstick brands. Whether it would behave like a high-end brand, however, remained to be seen. Like every other woman on this planet, I love sniffing my make-up. When I opened my Ultra Colour Absolute, I immediately braced myself for that 'oily' scent characteristic of most lipsticks I've used in the past. I was pleasantly surprised when I found Avon's lipstick had no trace of this smell, in fact, it has a very subtle fruity scent. The formula itself is unbelievably creamy and glides on like a dream. The Ultra Colour Absolute, while being a highly-pigmented lipstick, is not heavy on the lips - often I forgot that I was wearing any lipstick at all! It feels like a smooth lip balm, and it truly cares for your skin. Chock full of moisturizing ingredients, collagen, and vitamins C and E, this lippy is quite the nourishing treat! If you're going to be wearing the lipstick for an hour or two in the evening, applying it straight onto clean lips is the way to go. It's got a beautiful satin finish and will keep your lips moisturized and soft. However, if you need real staying power from this gorgeous colour, I would suggest a different route. There are many factors that can affect the way your lipstick behaves, like fluctuations in temperature, and eating/drinking/talking a lot. To ensure your gorgeous colour stays in place, you're going to need a bit more than just a clean canvas. After scrubbing your lips (a very important, and non-negotiable step when applying lipstick, especially a bright colour like 'Lovely Fuchsia'), apply a drop of your regular foundation to your lips. I know, it sounds strange, and believe me, it looks even stranger, but doing this creates the perfect surface for the lipstick to "adhere" to. You know how you apply foundation to your eyelids so that your eyeshadow stays put? We're using pretty much the same principle in this case. Let the foundation set for a few minutes (pull a few funny faces in the mirror, if you like! Make-up is fun!), and then proceed with a sharpened lip liner that matches your lipstick. Start by lining the center of your Cupid's Bow, and then open your mouth and line the inner corners of your lips. Lastly, line the lowest part of your lower lip. The foundation actually makes the lip liner stand out more, and it will make the lip colour more prominent too. After lining your lips, dab on the lip colour (dabbing will make your lipstick go further, and also ensure a more precise application if you don't have a lip brush). Now take your finger and gently blend the colour into your lips, touching up any mistakes as you go along. Gently blot with a tissue to remove the excess, and repeat the application and blotting for a more intense finish. Once you are satisfied with the colour, pick up your lip liner again and go over the edges of your lips with a cross hatching motion. Simply outlining your lips creates a hard, unnatural line. Blend the lip liner in with your Ultra Colour Absolute lipstick to avoid this look. (N.B. Lip liners are used when you need to create a long-lasting look; its waxy texture will prevent the lipstick from bleeding into the fine lines around your mouth.) To avoid lipstick stains on your teeth, simply bite down on your finger with your lips to remove any lipstick from the inner lip. Applying my 'Lovely Fuchsia' in this manner, my lip colour lasted for more nearly 8 hours, without any touch ups. To remove the lip colour, simply blot and then slick on some Vaseline. Rub it into your lips for a few seconds, and then gently remove the rest of the lipstick with a tissue. Alternatively, you can blot until you're left with a subtle lip stain, and then apply some lip gloss or Vaseline to create a more subtle look, perfect for everyday wear. As someone who does not usually wear striking lip colours, testing Avon's highly-pigmented Ultra Colour Absolute in 'Lovely Fuchsia' started off as quite a scary experience. The colour shows up really well on my caramel complexion, and I imagine it would be even more flattering on a porcelain skin tone. Ultra Colour Absolute is an excellent choice for flash photography as well (see my vampy picture!). Avon's new lipsticks are available in ten gorgeous shades. From everyday nudes like 'Coffee Creme', to racy colours like 'Red Velvet', there's a lippy for every skin tone, mood and occasion. There's even a hot purple, if you're keen to try the Lorde look. Being a newbie to Beauty Bulletin I wasn't sure I was going to get chosen but you ladies definitely know how to put a smile on a girls face so Thank you very much! Now these two beauties came to me in the form of Soft Peach and Heavenly Honey. I don't know how it happened but it must have been fate as I'm sure you can tell by the photo's how perfectly suited the two shades are for my skin tone! Just like every other make up junkie I took a ton of photo's and then immediately tried them both on. Now I must tell you- I really put these two to the test. I am not the biggest fan of lip glosses, I tend to lean towards the balm stains etc but the Ultra Glazewear Absolute range has definitely converted me. So lets get to it... The Scent: They have a soft, light but sweet fragrance too them. Nothing too potent, I quite enjoyed it. The Consistency: It is just the right consistency for the perfect gloss in a perfect world. Its soft and silky. Not at all thick and gooey or that runny gloss that just slides right off your lips. The Texture: No this is the one I always worry about- I hate sticky glosses that make you feel as if your lips are glued together every time you shut your mouth. THIS IS NOT STICKY. Its just right, smooth and you can smack your lips as much as you want without them getting stuck. The Colour: I received Soft Peach witch is a beautiful light pinky peach nude-y colour as well as Heavenly Honey which is a caramel nude. As I mentioned before, I did put these to the test for about 7 days straight. First I wore them on their own. No lip balm, no foundation to mute out my natural lip colour, nada. I was quite impressed as Avon states that these Ultra Glazewear Absolute glosses will hydrate and protect your lips, they do just that. You wouldn't need a lip balm with SPF because these beauts have SPF15 to protect your smackers from the sun. I was also quite happy with the pigmentation and colour pay off on top of my natural lip colour. They were perfectly natural looking- great for my everyday make up routine! I also tried them on top of a few of my less hydrating lipsticks and balm stains where I found them to be just as hydrating on top of those as they are on their own. They also added extra dimension and a beautiful glossed look on top of the other lipsticks. I also find my lips to be in a much better (smooth, soft and supple) condition after using these beauts for 7 straight days so these will definitely be an asset in the upcoming winter months! I feel I should be completely honest in all my reviews, so there is just one little and I mean little, gripe I have with this gloss- its staying power. In my tests if I drank from a bottle or a glass or ate there was no gloss left to be seen. Now, I can't fault Avon for this because no where did they promise me 24 hour staying power but what they did promise me was hydrated lips with protection from the sun and I definitely received that! So would I spend my own hard earned money on the Avon Ultra Glazewear Absolute Range after having the chance to try them for free courtesy of Beauty Bulletin? Hell yes! But I tried the new Avon colour stay lipstick, first time I tried it, I fell inlove with with it. It's moisturizing and absolutely light. I even forget I'm wearing it, so inlove with it, and it's within my price range, which makes it even better. I only wish it would last longer, I have to reapply a couple of times, something I don't like. The lipgloss ultra glazewear absolute is super amazing, I love lipgloss but also very sensitive to some as I develop a rash on my lips when I use some. I love the products packaging soooo much because its mess and fuss free and not likely to leak or break easily which fits in perfectly in my make-up case and travel make-up bag. I love these two colours because they are exactly what I look for when I buy lip colour,Tender Pink gives that juicy spark of colour, perfect when then going out and still keeping your look uncomplicated and fun. Renewing Rose is a day to day favourite for me, the colour is almost the exact same colour mine are naturally, which I like a lot because I like to keep my make-up natural throughout the week and on weekends. Overall I really like these lip glosses because they don't dry out my lips, my lips feel moisturised and softer than ever and it does not look cakey or fake and it has SPF 15 which is a huge plus since the skin on your lips are really thin and can easily be harmed by sunlight and UV rays, the colour if the gloss also doesn't fade easily and it isn't super sticky. Even though I have known about them for a while I just signed up a week earlier so I didn't expect anything so soon. I got home shortly after 4 and had to make a u turn and run to the post office which happens to be five minutes away. I use it a lot and even though a little voice was saying they are close by 16: 30, the excitement kept me going. I got there at exactly 16:30 and they were closed. I read the closing times and deflated I turned back, got Chinese and walked home. The next day I got my package and rushed home. I ripped the envelop open and found not one but two stunning Avon products. I took the pics and posted on instagram and simply admired the packaging then my phone rang and I was off to dinner. In a mad rush I forgot my cool new lip care on the table. The next day I woke up with a giant cold sore on my lower lip. I was not happy. I took care of it and 3 days later I finally tried the lipstick Lipstick: No lipstick I try escape the smudge test on glasses. I know how embarrassing it can be if your wine glass looks like you just been stabbed someone with it because of the smudges. To my surprise my lipstick didn’t stain the glass too badly. I also noticed that it’s nice and moist on my lips. The colour is stunning. I love it but like most lipstick the colour fades so you have to keep reapplying it. I love that the name Avon is written on the silver ring and not on the body. This way the name won’t fade and I wont end up with a lipstick that looks like you have had it since 2009 because of scratches. Lipgloss: I prefer lipgloss over lipstick for an everyday look. I was quite happy with the lipsgloss. It did the job well. I would still apply my Vaseline first though to make it last longer. Withe the lipstick and lipstick both enriched with SPF 15, shea butter and vitamin C, it really nourishes and moisturises the lips. The color payoff is so effective too(thanks to Avons Colour Reveal Technology) which i love, so I dont need to re-apply my lipstick or lipgloss every hour on the hour. My lips seem to be conditioned and appears to be softer, unlike when ive used other lip stuff. What i like about the lipgloss is that it doesnt require me to plump the tube to get out enough, the soft spunge easily brings up enough lipgloss to apply smoothly to my lips. This Avon lipstick is more like a Liquid Lipstick to me, because of the colour being so great and long-lasting, also its far from other lipglosses which is overly sticky and messes all over my lips. Anyways i dashed home as fast as possible to open up my small white package...and when i opened it.... It was like angels singing.... The 2 smartly wrapped and elegantly wrapped little beauties almost bought tears to my eyes. I picked them up so carefully and admired the sheer beauty of them, my avon lippies that would become my number one companion for the next month, well, actually from now on LIFETIME!!!! In the gorgeous shades of nourishing nude and radiant red I unwrapped them and immediately headed off to the mirror to try them out! That soft pop of the lipsponge leaving the tube gave me goosebumps.... I decided to try the radiant red shade first, as i had never even thought of trying a red lipgloss before! The consistency of the gloss is smooth and with the help of the spongebrush it applied smoothly and evenly, like a dream! The colour pops and shines like a million diamonds on the lips....kissable, is an understatement. The red is daring, sexy and makes me feel like im a glamour girl from the moulin rouge! Theres nothing i dont like about this colour, its the perfect tease for a great night out And its easy application makes it a pleasure to wear! I love the fact that i can wear this lipgloss and know it has SFP15 to protect my smackers while im wearing it. Making it perfect for all year round too. Its available in many shades, so theres a lip smacking shade for everyone! My next shade i recieved as mentioned was nourishing nude..... It reminds me of a soft creamy toffee colour, and has a lovely subtle scent! Mmmm yummy!! Can i get a coffee with that? ;) its perfect for everyday where and its visible yet not overpowering, the perfect product if your looking for a nude lip to compliment your day wear make-up! Onwards to the moisturizing effects!! This product is known for its mositurizing effects, and after a good 10 days of usage i can honestly say the difference in my lips is incredible. Soft, smooth, no cracks and my boyfriend even commented and said how nice they look! ;) the thing is you become so addicted to this wonder gloss that it becomes your best friend. As per my swob pic the lipstick is a cerese pink, which i love. it glides on smoothly, smells kind of sweet like cherry and moisturises my lips excellently. I thought I would need to apply a lipgloss over it, but this was completely not needed. The color is long lasting and its really bright and shimmery. I love this about this lipstick. I find that most are too thick, so make your lips feel artificial or as if they are stuck together, most times they have too much plumper or it adds way too much shine! But I decided to give this product a try, more out of being nosey. I got it in Dazzling Diamond (completely transparent). I find that this gloss is great for day-to-day use, and can be kept in your hand bag. It is not too glossy, and certainly doesn’t make your lips feel like they are stuck together. I like to use my fingers to apply it, if my lips have some sort of colour already (I don’t want to dirty the brush) but find that I use it even when I am not wearing make-up. It adds a great amount of moisture, but is not that long lasting – so you will need to do touch ups, often! I like that it doesn’t have a plumper in it, but if you are interested in that, just add a drop or two of peppermint oil. This is definitely a product worth trying, but not sure if I will order the other shades. The staying power is typical of most glosses, that being not very long, but the power in the colour punch that you get for the time that it IS onyour lips is well worth the reapplying time spent on it.. I tried out two colours, Plum Dazzle and Mauve Movement,I find that the plum dazzle is wonderful for night time wear, being slightly "sparkly" and just dark enough for a sultry, glamorous look. While the Mauve Movement is light and girly enough for day time wear. After applying most other glosses or lipsticks I find my lips feel sticky and dry at the end of the evening, with these little babies in my arsenal, my lips feel beautifully moisturized, soft and smooth.. The added benefit of the SPF 15 means that it can be worn any time anywhere! The packaging is fairly petite which make it convenient and easy to carry around, it's simple and to the point and very elegant. The formula has really good pigment quality and a nice consistency, making it thick enough to show the color, but remain light weight at the same time - this ensures a lovely comfortable wear. It last for about 2-3 hours, so fairly average when it comes to wear / staying power capability, but what does make this different is that is doesn't just fade in 1 go, it fades gradually, so at least I am comfortable knowing that I won't have a washed out look, but yet varying shades of coral which is a huge bonus! Over all a really great effort from Avon! The rich purple colour visible from outside the tube looked exactly like the colour of the lipgloss inside the tube. It did not smell fruity, which is one of my favourite things about lipgloss in general, but instead it has a very subtle to non-existent scent, which is obviously better than a strong unpleasant scent. The lipgloss has a good thick consistency and so, a good amount was coated onto the applicator. A single application onto the top and lower lip was all I needed to do in order to get beautifully glossed lips. My lips were coloured a subtle but still visible purple tinge. It is a great lipgloss for someone who wants a hint of colour without having to wear lipstick. However, if you wanted more colour, you can add a second or third coat of the lipgloss. I'm the type of girl who loves a bit of sparkle and shine on her lips so a product call "Glazeware Sparkle" is definitely one I should try. And this Avon product does not disappoint. The Apple Cinnamon colour is not highly pigmented - it is more subtle than I had hoped it would be but suits my medium-dark skin tone well. I usually wear it around the office or during week days. When I heard "Glazeware" I thought the product would be more shiny but it isn't. The "Sparkle" I am very happy with. The formula isn't sticky at all but you will need to touch up as the day goes on as it isn't very long-wearing. There is no scent to the lipgloss, which I find a con as I would have liked that. Maybe a bit of an apple cinnamon scent seeing as that is the name of the product?
