I cannot live without this product. It gives my curls LIFE! Whenever they seem to be dying or losing their natural curl, I just apply this product and it rejuvenates my curls leaving them feeling soft and nourished. It works great for natural hair styling and doesn’t leave any flakes or residue behind.

This is one of my hair staples and definitely worth the price. My curls last up to a week depending on how much I manipulate it, its also a great product to use with the Aunt Jackie's flax seed gel, it ensures an even longer stay. I love the fact that it smells divine and that it doesn't clump up.

This curl custard is lilac in colour and it smells sweet. It has a thick consistency, very much like a pudding. The Curl La La comes in a cute tub like most of Aunt Jackie’s products.It has a light artificial mixed fruit scent, like a sugary fruit “juice” not made from real fruit.
I feel this product really delivered on its promises. I don’t get white residue from using it as it absorbs really easily into my hair. I have 4C hair. I have only applied it to dry hair, though it can be used on either dry or wet hair. I detangle my hair using a wide-tooth comb, apply the curl custard and finger-detangle to make sure it’s absorbed. I then twist my hair into small twists and use a blow-dryer on a low setting. I feel the products makes my hair a bit wet so that’s why I use the blow-dryer. You can allow your hair to air-dry.

My hair was very soft and stayed moisturized for about 3 days. I just spritzed my hair with my own mixture of water and essentials oils mixture at the end of day 2.. It gives me afro-confidence by delivery on the springy texture and volume.

So a friend told me about this after I had a mini meltdown because my hair is uncontrollable and let's be honest no one has the time to sit and straighten their hair every day (or in my case every few hours-the curl is strong with this one)...Bought it and I have been loving every minute of bouncy beautiful curls! There's no frizz, no random wayward strands...Just beautiful hair.
A little goes a very long way and it literally smells good enough to eat.

I've been using this product since January and I've been loving it. It makes my curls soooo defined and bouncy. My curls are also alot softer since i start using this product. Its really cheap compared to alot of the other curl defining creams on the market. I highly recommend this product.

This product is very useful if you want your curls to last for a entire day. this was one of my very first products i purchased for my Curly hair journey. whenever its on special this is one of the products i will definitely purchase because you will never have enough of it. i can use this product alone or with a range of different other products, it makes your hair so soft and its definitely worth the price. if you are a first time buyer or struggle with really dry hair this will help give shine and texture but not much hold.the smell stays in my hair during the course of the day. if you have a 9-5 job and your curls is not popping the size of this product can fit in your handbag and whenever you feel like using it simply just wet your hands and scrunch some more especially in winter.

Aunta Jackie's products are amazing, especially the smell. I used the curl custard on my natural kinky hair and it did help define curls but found it to dry my hair out a little but using moisturiser when undoing twists is an easy fix. All in all I recommend it.

I've recently started transitioning back to my natural hair and the Aunt Jackie range is perfect. The curl la la helps with keeping your curls defined for a a few days and soft and moisturised. It leaves a nice shine to your hair and it smells amazing! Regular use also helped with hair growth. I'd say it is a great purchase for the price and quality of the product. Happy Hair days Ladies!

I LOVE this product, I havent relaxed my hair for over two years now, and whenever I went to a salon my dresser would be like dont you wanna relax it ?and I was like nahhhh I want baby hairs & afros. So I needed my hair to be soft and manageable and stilll be in its natural state. When I bought this custard and applied it on my hair it was a few days since I had blow dryed it at the salon so it was kinda not coiled (or Natural), the custard made my hair coiled and soft I went to work the following day and they thought I had cut my hair, this is because my hair shrunk ( which is how it should be im 4c ) but I could stilll comb it out and put it in a bun without going to the salon. SOFT MANAGEABLE AND KINKY :D

I wasn't part of this campaign but I have used this product a couple of times. I have been wearing my hair natural for over 9 years now and a curl cream is a must to achieve my wash and go. This curl cream not only moisturizes my hair, it also defines my curls so much so that I can rock my wash n go for up to 4 days. I would definitely recommend this product for the curlier types of hair.

Can weigh down natural curls a bit so use very little or mix with water for a spray.

I've been using Curl lala for about three years now and my twist outs/braid outs have ALWAYS come out as intended (except for that one time I was in a super humid place).
It smells great but if you use too much the scent can be overpowering. Just a little dab of your finger per twist goes a long way.

I was in love with this product.
Did you say moisture? Yes. Moisture galore! I could feel my hair absorb all the moisture provided by Curl La La.
I gave me beautifully defined curls without any crunch, which you would expect. It has a lot of slip, so it is wonder for detangling.
It also smells like a tropical forest.
I would definitely recommend this.

This product is amazing, not to mention how good it smells. I love that it doesn’t flake, and can be applied to wet or dry hair and you’ll still see results.

I tried the Aunt Jackie's Curl La La Defining Curl Custard when I was transitioning and after I BC'd.
It smells like sweetness. You REALLY have to keep the jar away from kids because they might just eat it. It just smells delicious..
It has a thick consistency, very much like a pudding.
I don't get white residue from using it.
When I was in transition, it didn't really work well to give me the curls I wanted. My hair was in two different textures so it was a challenge.
Using it after my BC has been good so far. My curls are very tight and coilly (like a springs). I apply the Aunt Jackie's Curl La La Defining Curl Custard while my hair is damp (about 60%) and I let it dry throughout the day as I go about my day. I make sure I work the pudding in all over my hair. When the days are warm, it dries quickly. More like a wash & go activity. Once my hair dries, it does not look weighed down by the product.
I love the spring-like curl definition that I get. it's more of a curl enhancer in this case for me since my coils already come looking like springs.
My hair stays moisturized for about 3 or so days. All I do on day 2 and 3 is sprits my hair with water and my cute culs come up popping as my hair dries. My hair remains soft to touch (a little bit sticky) and smells delicious.
I find there's hardly much need for reapplication on day 2 and 3.

I bought this while I still had my bigger afro and stopped using it after I found it to be very flaky for my hair. I recently used it on my little sister, who had dreadlocks it worked perfectly for her. It didn't leave her dreads flaky and it keep her bantu knots in place but I recently cut my hair and now on the TWA phase and it woks better with my short hair.
Its a great wash and go cream.
If you have dry hair and 4c hair texture - I wouldn't advice it.
