July started off with a bang with San Francisco based Benefit Cosmetics celebrating their official return to South African shores with a media event at the Crystal Towers Hotel in Cape Town. BB staffer Megan Parsley and I joined the throng of media mavens, top bloggers and beauty editors for a sneak peek at the bene-goodies scheduled to hit the shelves this season…
We got the opportunity to test-drive (and take home!) some of Benefit’s best-selling cult classic products in a gorgeously girly retro setting (think pink lighting and go-go dancers). My favourites: The Porefessional (R395), They’re Real mascara (R295), and High Brow Glow Pencil (R275). You can shop these products and more at Edgars and Red Square stores now.
Spoilt for choice!
Next up was an opportunity to sample a treatment at the Chanel Bettison Hair and Beauty Concept Store. Located in downtown Cape Town, it’s a cute beauty destination to pop in to for an impromptu pampering. I was treated to the Winter Special Promotion (R450 for 90 minutes) – a mini file-and-paint pedicure followed by a soothing back, neck and shoulder massage. I’ll be elaborate more on my experience in a more detailed treatment review – watch this space!
