Weave Easy.

Having a beautiful weave is easy when you use the right hair care products. We have three simple items we know will keep your extensions looking shiny and healthy, increase its longevity, while also leaving you feeling and looking beautiful.

Who isn’t aware of the fact that buying a good weave doesn’t come cheap! For the thousands we spend on the latest hair trends, it’s doubly important that we take extra care when it comes to washing, conditioning and styling. Depending on the quality and texture of your extensions, weave care varies from person to person. As hair extensions are no longer attached to the scalp, where it receives all the natural properties required for health and growth, it’s imperative that we reintroduce these vital components through conditioning and shampooing.

One of the most-loved products by weave wearers is the TRESemmè Salon Silk range. The shampoo (R89,95) contains Argan Oil, which is essential for repairing dry and damaged hair. Such a component is important if you often use hot irons to style your extensions.

The TRESemmè Salon Silk Conditioner (R89, 95) is perfect for your weave as you can actually feel the wefts absorbing the oils in the conditioner. When it comes to weaves, conditioning is as important if not more essential than the shampooing process. It’s therefore advised to select one that will be the most beneficial for your hair.

TIP: Co-wash your weave by using the TRESemmè Salon Silk Conditioner as a shampoo. Wash the hair twice before using a small amount of the TRESemmè Salon Silk Shampoo. After rinsing out the shampoo, proceed to “wash” again with TRESemmè Salon Silk Conditioner.

After you have washed your hair, properly air-drying it is recommended. Once it’s dry, use your favourite oil treatment. We love Marc Anthony Moroccan Oil Treatment  (R144.95 at Dis-Chem stores). A pea-sized amount will add sheen and luster to your extensions.
