John Frieda® Luxurious Volume® Touchably Full Shampoo

Shampoo's are always LIFE! its the main product that cleanses your hair, obviously ? but nonetheless. Using this shampoo had be so inlove. I wash my hair twice. Because that's just how i do it all the time. As soon as i massaged this shampoo into my hair, i loved how it becomes foamy immediately and the way the smell just floats in the whole bathroom ? if you use your fingers to massage gently in your scalp. You'll feel that thickness it brings into your roots. It seems unreal. But because i have short/thin hair. That's the result i felt when using it. This shampoo is officially my #1.

I really enjoyed trying out this shampoo. It made my hair feel clean and uplifted. I like that it doesnt foam much as I find very foamy shampoo strip my hair of it's moisture, leaving it dry and brittle. John Frieda definitely won on this one!

I have previously tried the John Freida Brilliant Brunette Lightening Shampoo and Conditioner and loved the quality and effect it had on my hair, I just had to try out the JF Luxurious Volume range. I am extremely impressed with Shampoo and Conditioner as I felt my roots have been given volume and can see results after the 3rd wash.

The JF Root lotion and mousse works wonders for the day, However the lasting effect of the products have to be washed out the next day as hair becomes tough to manage with product in it.

Seriously inlove with this shampoo! It's got a divine smell, is so light on your hair and works really well. I've had great results in enhancing the volume of my hair from using this shampoo. I'd definitely recommend it to everyone with fine hair that gets weighed down by thick harsh shampoo's. Give it a try!

I love this shampoo because from the first wash you are able to feel a difference in your hair, it does not strip your hair from its natural oils ad leaves your smooth and sleek. I am also an athlete so I wash my hair more frequently than I should, I have found that this product doesn't leave my hair dry or limp.

I love that it is reasonably priced and also the packaging is made easy to use.

It smells divine and does not have an over powering smell.

I would definitely recommend this product for ladies with fine or limp hair.

The packaging is a dream! so easy to squeeze the right amount of product out. Its a beautiful softer plastic so you don't land up squeezing so hard and landing up with a handful of product (hate it when that happens). It smells a bit like those clear gels for hair, but its not horrible, its still fresh and works into a great lather when applied. Remember to always wash your hair twice for best results. My hair feels more lightweight and doesn't feel stuck to my head. Really love this range

Sooo it's a good shampoo, smells good for the moment, silky and foamy.

I feel like it's cleansing enough but I don't really feel it has a wow! factor. I will buy it again because I love the conditioner, a don't mix products. But I feel like it's a lagging a bitcomparing to the other products that is really special products.

I was lucky enough to be chosen to review this range (thanks BB!). I hadn't heard of John Frieda before Beauty Bulletin, nor had I seen it on the shelves, so chances are I wouldn't have tried it otherwise. I didn't know anything about it or what to expect.

The Shampoo was nice, it had a rather faint but pleasant fruity smell. The liquid is clear, which is unusual compared to my other ones, but it reminded me of a freshness for some reason, so I liked that. The foaming action was great and I only needed a small amount.

All in all the product was good and did the job, my hair felt clean after I used it, and seemed more luxurious and full of body after I had dried it.

I didn't notice any particular wafts of the scent afterwards, but that's okay, the body lasted for the day :) Will I buy this again? Probably not, it's a bit pricing and for that price I prefer other brands. But some may prefer this! :)

I am in love with John Frieda....well the products anyway :) especially this amazing Luxurious Volume range. I have used the shampoo and conditioner twice so far and what i really love about it is that there is not a whole lot of foam, and in my books that usually means much friendlier for the hair itself. It smells clean and hair definitely feels fuller and more luxurious after every wash.
I really enjoyed this shampoo. Just a small amount of product went a long way and left my hair clean, not stripped, smelling great, fuller and just awesome. Thats a lot for just a shampoo, now imagine adding all the other great products from the range with that....va va voom hair here we go!!!!

Do you have lifeless dead hair? well you not alone. I had that hair as well in the past. Yes i said in the past because i can honestly say that this shampoo , along with the other products in this range has been doing wonders for my hair!. The John Frieda shampoo not only has a fantastic subtle fruity scent but it also leaves my hair feeling much thicker . The shampoo gives my hair a deep cleanse also leaving it shiny - the perfect hair for a TV commercial !

I overall highly recommend this product to all those with bad hair days.

Used alongside the Touchably Full Conditioner, I felt this shampoo gave me substantial volume while still giving my hair a really deep clean. The packaging is beautiful, as it is for the whole Luxurious Volume Range, and the shampoo lathered up easily. My hair felt shiny and full after blow drying without any residue to speak of. I love this product as the perfect partner to the Touchably Full Conditioner.

I am absolutely inlove with John frieda hair care products! They leave my hair feeling smooth and clean..

I also noticed that my hair is slot sleeker and Shiny - these are definitely one of the best brands I've used. Only issue I have I'd the price it gets quite steep but other then that a definite must have.

I love JF products, they are expensive but well worth it. These products don't leave build up on your hair and your hair feels clean afterwards. My hair was not dull after using it either but of course the volume part does not work for me. This has nothing to do with the product but everything to do with my hair, my hair is just above my bum and honestly no product is going to give that length of hair volume. The only way to create volume is to cut my hair or layer it a bit. Blow drying with some mousse also does sometimes help.
I love the smell of JF products and do believe that your hair lands up in a better condition when you use good products on your hair. Healthy hair is something we all want, no one wants to walk around with dry split ends and lifeless dull hair

What a great product that lives up to it's claims. Sometimes we use volume haircare products, but in the process of using it our hair becomes dull and lifeless. It is because some haircare brands strips the hair of residue and natural oils. So in the process of gaining one thing, you lose another. Now John Frieda developed this range to keep the natural oils in tact, leaving hair healthy and shiny. They used little round polymers that fills up the damaged parts of each strand of hair. The end result? Volume that stays. And healthy and shiny hair.
I have been using these products now for a week and it really does live up to it's claims. I am enjoying using these products and my hair is reaping all the wonderful benefits.

I wouldn't say I have terrible hair - as a child, many people would compliment me on how lovely my hair was - but I, like all women, suffer from hair damage and bad hair days. Well, I did until I tried John Frieda's Luxurious Volume: touchably full shampoo and conditioner.

The wonderful guys at Beauty Bulletin and John Frieda were kind enough to send me a hamper of John Frieda goodies after I'd entered a competition. I'd been using baby shampoo on a doctor's recommendation for months but it was doing my hair no good. I had badly damaged split ends and terrible frizziness.

After two washes with the John Frieda shampoo and conditioner, I started noticing the difference in my hair's look and feel. My hair was smooth and sleek, kept clean for several days, I think it was almost a week, and the split ends were vanishing.

I really love my new shampoo and conditioner so much that I went out and bought some more. It's a little costly but I guess you pay for quality.

No more baby shampoo for me :)

P.S. I would recommend that if you do use this product, you give your hair a break every once in a while just to prevent a build-up on your hair. It's nothing personal about John Frieda, it's just a general comment about hair-care - it's always a good idea to give your hair a little break.

Lets start off like this. JF is expensive and not suitable to every budget. However, I recieved the 50ml size of the shampoo and conditioner and my hair is between medium and long and its lasted me super well! I love the shampoo. The smell, the foaming action for me is a huge bonus and my hair feels so clean and very fresh. It gave my hair a personality, if i can say that. It wasnt flat and boring anymore and had a nice bounce to it :) I used minimal conditioner as my hair doesnt really need it. Love it as well! can recommend :)

I was really excited to when I bought my JF Shampoo, conditioner and Blow Dry spray.
The packing and colour is vibrant. The fragrance scent is refreshing.
The Shampoo is great, after applying and rinsing, my hair feels clean. The conditioner does not detangle and feels like I have sprayed hair spray on my hair.
The blow dry spray creates the volume but after drying my hair and setting it, I was unable to put my finges through my hair.

My hair felt dehydrated and looked unhealthy. Leaving my hair with a dullness to it.

I have not used this product but would like to. I have very dull boring straight hair. I need something with volume that will last an entire day.

The shampoo and conditioner set was in my JF hamper I got from BB and I was soooo excited. This would be the first time using JF products and I have always admired the true beauty and quality associated with JF.
Wahing my hair was incredible and I love dthe fact that I don't need a lot of product on both the shampoo and conditioner side, less than a handfull is more than enough for full coverage.
The smells i great by the way and I like the way these products soothe my scalp.

I have used the products twice so far and still going strong.

Conditioner is applied immediately after shampooing and only left for a few minutes before washing.

This range is perfect for me because I do not do heat styling at all even though its designed to protect hair from the heat. I prefer to use rollers because I believe it adds more volume.

I also do not towel dry my hair to severe and leave it slightly damp before styling.

Allowing my hair to dry naturally has always been my thing and this works for me, even in winter.

So far, I am happy to report that I have seen a noticeable difference in the volume, especially after removing the rollers.

I am sooo glad I finally found something that really works for me!

This is a revolutionary hair brand that has left me on the fence. I suffer, and yes I do use the term suffer! As thin, limp and extremely fine hair is no fun to have. I’ve seen new-born babies with a thicker mop of hair than my own 23 years’ worth. Due to this, I made the decision to pay R95 a bottle for the John Frieda Luxurious Volume range.

The range promises to offer volume where it’s needed the most. The sub-text of the label is “Visibly Full, Touchably Soft, and Natural Volume.” The Luxurious Volume Range from John Frieda has been formulated to deliver a full-bodied, salon-quality style even on fine, flat hair, whilst leaving it feeling natural and supple. This range contains volume boosting technology paired with lightweight conditioning benefit’s; to leave you with a full-bodied weightless style that lasts.

Both the shampoo and conditioner come in the same 250ml aqua-green bottles with a clear flip-top lid. The texts on the bottles are done in white and yellow which is very tropical and eye-catching on the aqua background. The writing is done in English and French as John Frieda is a French brand. The complete ranges of John Frieda products are available exclusively through Clicks Stores. Because both the bottles look the same, it is very hard to differentiate between the shampoo and conditioner whilst in the shower. I feel there should have been some defining factor to make it much clearer than having to read the label mid wash with soapy eyes.

The shampoo preps fine hair for full styling without stripping hair of its natural oils whilst the conditioner leaves each strand looking full and feeling healthy and soft. I’ve used the shampoo and conditioner twice now and have definitely felt a difference in the softness of my hair. It feels super smooth, shiny and soft; like silk. My hair didn’t catch or snag but became very static. I didn’t see an increase in volume and it actually felt as though my hair was much more weighed down and limp. The hair closer to the roots got oily very quickly and made my hair look greasy by the afternoon. My hair did smell amazing and my chocolate, auburn and cherry highlights became more noticeable and illuminated when the sunlight hit them. I did receive compliments from my mum and colleges about the high intense colour and shine of my hair, but none seemed to notice any change in the volume.

By the next day I had to wash my hair, this time using my own trusted shampoo and conditioner. My hair lasted grease-free for a good 3days before another wash was needed. I then proceeded to use the John Frieda set, I got the same results I did the first time I’d used it. I’m now planning on using the John Frieda shampoo and conditioner fulltime instead of alternating to see if it makes any difference.

I wouldn’t just yet recommend this product as at R95 for 250ml is quite expensive to merely “test-out”. If your aim is super smooth, shiny and wonderful smelling hair then grab this duo and head for the tills; but if you’re looking for fuller, lush, volume infused hair then wait for my update ;)

I have very long hair and tried ALL the volumising treatments there is. This product is awesome, the shampoo + conditioner makes your hair feeling very light and the volumising spray literally lift your hair from the roots. The nice thing is you spray the volumising spray on dry hair, so it doesn't take you hours with a blow dryer and a brush to created volume! So happy, I can defiantly recommend this great product. I have thick straightish hair. Because my hair is thick it is also heavy and generally falls flat, with no volume. So I was extatic when I got chosen to review the John Fireda Volumising Product set. I was truely blown away by this set of products. The set included a shampoo, conditioner and a volumising mouse for styling. From the first time I tried out the products I could feel my hair instantly transform. My dry ends and generally straight limp hair was transformed to a healthy full bodied, nourished look and feel. I was so impressed with the product, that I recommended it to my mum. She tried it and had the same results if not better, as her hair is shorter and lighter than mine.
Both my mum and I are not experts when it comes to blow-drying our hair and don't really fuss a lot. But these products made such a significant difference and we didn't do anything different in terms of styling!

I absolutely love this product!! I give it a 5 star rating!! its amazing and has done wonders on my hair! Im really enjoying using it and just love the way it smells and the way my hair feels and looks after using it. Really would recommend it to others and think that it is well worth the money!

When it comes to hair, mine is very complicated. It is very thick in terms of quantity but fine in terms of actual strands. I also abuse it with hair dye, straighteners and curling tongs. All of this equals damage however my hair is very forgiving an grows insanely fast. This means that when it comes to selecting shampoos and conditioners I never know whether to go for a volumising one or if that is too much for fine hair, perhaps one for colour treated hair would work better or even just one for damage. The other issue I have is that my hair tends to become very dry on the ends but also looks oily at the roots if a conditioner is too heavy.

When I received this Volumising duo from John Frieda I was skeptical to say the least. Yes we all want big bouncy shiny locks but usually volume = too stripping, too heavy or leaves a build up.

The formula of the shampoo is very salon-like and a small amount spreads easily and is vast enough to cover all of my hair. This is the first plus. I also found it to be very hyro-active (when shampoo lathers more the wetter your hair is and therefore cleans ones scalp better). Remember shampoo is to be applied to scalp only and then let it rinse down throughout your hair.

The conditioner felt moisturising but didn’t feel too heavy when applying. Both smell clean and fresh but neither have a distinct overpowering smell which is another plus for me.

After simply blowdrying my hair normally and adding no styling product (in order to have an honest fair review) my hair felt light but full. There was definite increase in volume and when later styling it into soft curls this was even more prominent. One thing I loved was how soft my hair felt, I can’t remember the last time a shampoo and conditioner made it this soft and I have since been using them daily (well every second day as I give my hair one day off after a wash).

Before I start with the actual review, I need to give a short back story about my hair. Growing up I’ve always had curly but fine hair that was blow dried straight. My hair length was always between chin and collar bone length and I never had long hair.
During the latter years of high school and my first year at university my hair length was about shoulder to collarbone length. During this period I experimented with volume shampoo and conditioner, it was a disaster! My hair had so much volume that I could barely handle it. Since then I swore that curly hair and volume shampoo should not mix.
Since then things have changed. I’ve been actively growing my hair since the end of my first year at university when I last had a drastic cut (it was a chin length bob). My hair is now slightly past waist length. I have face framing layers and I’m growing out my fringe. Now that my hair is waist length it is flatter than Miley Cyrus’s abs. The length weighs it down so much that with the exception of my face framing layers and fringe, my hair no longer curls (yes it’s possible for your curl pattern to change, it also happens to some women going through menopause). If I curl my hair with heat or overnight with foam rollers, it only lasts a few hours and that’s with hair spray. So I was in desperate need of volumising shampoo and conditioner.
