Gentle and effective
I bought the whole cleansing range when i went back to the body shop! So impressed was i with their cleansing oil that a solid cleanser in a tub(similiar to the one clinique used to have) seemed a perfect idea( especially to travel)! Let me tell you that im a contact lense wearer!ive had failed lasik eye surgery and my eyes get fairly dry itchy irritated quick! Therefore i have to cough out for the very best products there is! This is a solid balm that melts with ease on contact with the skin! You massage it into dry skin, emulsify! I even rubbed my eye make up off! Careful about getting too close to the lashline! Its non irritating, effective calming and does the job well! Highly recommended
The Body Shop Cleansing Butter is a similar consistency to solid coconut oil. It’s a smooth white solid that, when you rub it between your fingers, melts into a silky oil. (Don’t worry, it doesn’t feel “oily” or “greasy” at all). I take a small blob and massage it all over my face for a minute or two. I then wipe my face clean with a damp, warm facecloth. To ensure I get all the oil off, I rinse out the facecloth with plenty warm water, wring it out and then (gently!) clean my face again. This left no residue on my face.
Despite all the good things I had heard, I was genuinely and pleasantly surprised at how well this cleanser worked. My skin felt clean and clear, while remaining soft and comfortable (not at all tight and red, like most cleansers leave me). I've only been using it for a week but I am really enjoying this addition to my skincare routine! If you are at all interesting in trying a cleansing balm, I can recommend trying this one – it’s also a lot more budget friendly than many of the other ones on the market, so it’s a good one to start off with.
Camomile Cleansing Butter
So I was absolutely waiting for this product, because it's a balm in a super cute vintage tin which you use yo remove your make up. I've seen a similar product which is Clinique Take of the Day Cleansing Balm. This cleansing butter has just hit the shelves on the 9th of September 2013 and I promise... This range is here to stay!
Firstly I love my make up, but not when it's clogging my pores, which is why it is very important to always clean your face and remove make up thoroughly. This Camomile Cleansing Butter is very handy when it comes to keeping skin feeling and looking amazing! I absolutely adore the tin which the Camomile Cleansing Butter comes in, it's a strong metal tin which looks absolutely vintage. The lid is a screw on lid and the lid has a white sticker which contains details about the products. (Have a look at the pictures, just mind my tin, I dropped it and it got dented) I won't lie, as soon as I opened the tin, that lovely dreamy scent just hit me.
The Camomile Cleansing Butter has a refreshing camomile scent, because the product contains Community Fair Trade camomile, I promise you that once you get the smell of the Camomile Cleansing Butter, you'll find every excuse in the book to wash your face! The Camomile Cleansing Butter is meant for all skin types, however I was a bit worried because I have quite oily skin. The Camomile Cleansing Butter looks more like a balm or a hair wax in a tin because of the white colour and the look of the butter.
The Camomile Cleansing Butter information states that the product melts away impurities and removes all traces of make up. The Camomile Cleansing Butter should be massaged on dry skin and then removed by either rinsing the product off or using a warm muslin cloth. The Camomile Cleansing Butter is quite creamy looking, however you only need to swipe your fingers across to get a smooth and silky oily feeling on your finger tips which you massage onto your skin, believe me... It removes waterproof mascara like magic.
I'm really impressed with the Camomile Cleansing Butter because it didn't irritate my sensitive skin or my sensitive eyes, the product is both dermatologically and ophthalmologically tested! I absolutely love the way my skin felt afterwards, my skin felt refreshed, clean and soft and smooth as well as hydrated, but without the oily feeling. I'm going crazy about this Camomile Cleansing Butter and hopefully I can get more products from this range, mainly because the products are absolutely gentle yet so effective.
I'd really recommend you give this product a try! I purchased the product for R140 however if the Camomile Cleansing Butter isn't for you, then there are many more amazing products from the camomile range.
The Camomile Range:
Cleansing Butter : R140
Eye Make-up Remover: R99
Waterproof Eye Make-up Remover: R110
Cleansing Oil - R150
However if you purchase any one of these skin care products, you will get a 20% discount because The Body Shop stores are celebrating their third LYB-Day. The offer is only valid until 15 September 2013.
