In 1995, Bill and Katie Whyte started making Badger Balm in the kitchen of their home with the support and help of their daughters Mia, Emily, and Rebecca. Bill is now the CEO, Katie is the COO, Emily is the Director of Sales & Marketing, Rebecca is the Director of Product Development, and Mia is a Human Resources consultant.
The company is, however, more than just a business. They aim to be fun, fair and profitable with the belief that money is fuel and not a goal. That being said, the mission behind the Badger Balm brand is to make the safest and healthiest products, and to create fabulously pure and effective products of the highest natural quality, based on simplicity and thoughtful preparation, with the intention to protect, soothe and heal.
They blend organic plant extracts with beeswax and minerals to make healing balms, safe mineral sunscreens, skin moisturizers, and other personal care products that work, smell, and feel great. Their chemical-free organic sunscreens are highly rated for their safety and efficacy and have established Badger as a leader in natural cosmetics.
